Date: Wednesday, February 11th · 5pm - 6pm ET
Location: Adorama Event Space + Livestreamed Online
Livestream Link: https://www.youtube.com/@AdoramaEvents

This live, in-person class focuses on how to photograph wedding details at every scale—small personal items through full reception setups—so they read clearly, feel intentional, and fit the story of the day. We’ll talk through what to look for, how to simplify cluttered spaces, and how to make fast decisions when time is tight.

We’ll cover:

  • How to approach detail coverage with consistency, from flat lays to wide room scenes
  • Using natural light, window light, and one added light to shape small objects
  • Lens choice and perspective for details that feel dimensional, not flat
  • Building clean backgrounds anywhere: hotel rooms, suites, ballrooms
  • Translating small details into images that match the scale of the event

The class includes a live shooting segment focused on ring photographs using a macro lens. I’ll demonstrate setup, camera settings, light placement, and problem-solving in real time

Small Sets, Big Feeling with Meg Loeks

Date: Wednesday, March 11th · 5pm - 6pm ET
Location: Adorama Event Space + Livestreamed Online
Livestream Link: https://www.youtube.com/@AdoramaEvents

This demo is centered on creating simple, story-driven portraits with a strong emphasis on color. We’ll focus on how light and color become part of the narrative, not just illumination. Through subtle direction, intentional palettes, and restrained use of gels, we’ll build portraits that feel cinematic, emotional, and quietly charged.

Rather than complex setups, this session is about learning how to see light and color together. How a single rim can suggest tension. How a wash of color can shift mood. How background, wardrobe, and expression become part of the story when light is used with purpose.

We’ll walk through:

  • Building depth and atmosphere with 1–4 lights
  • Using color and gels to create emotional tone, not novelty
  • Creating narrative portraits with minimal gear
  • Translating concept into visual language
