PERFECT FOR ME!

Meh!

The Autofocus assist beam is good (When it works) but since I bought it to cancel out shadows on faces during sun day shooting ...meh. Yes it has a metal appearing hotshoe which i sessentially a peice of metal over the real plastic one and still a major weak point. Basically it's there for cosmetic reasons. Mine broke working the parade. The flash runs through batteries quicker than a hot knife through butter if you're shooting 100+ shots or more a session. I ran through 3 sets of 4 fully charged rechargeable batteries during a 3 hour fashion shoot. It lets you know the batteries are dying by misfiring the flash The upside? Powerful flash if you are shooting full power up to 100mm. When it works. For night or dark shooting, the flash is unreliable because the autofocus assist light works only when it wants and when it's attached, the camera disables it's built in AF assist light( relying on the flash's) so you will not get your shot.

I couldn't have asked for a better flash for the price

TTL works flawlessly with my Nikon D3300, and flash is bright and powerful. I couldn't have asked for a better flash for the price. Highly recommended!

Great flash

I am really pleased with the performance of this flash. It interacts well with my Nikon F5.I would definitely recommend it to my fellow photographer. The long term performance I can't speak on I haven't had it very long.

You get what you pay for

I have had 6 of these lights over a 2 yr. period. 4 of them either stop working or freeze up and won't fire. I would recommend getting the Flashpoint ion over this. With that you get Adoramas backing.

Great flash

I previously had a Promaster FL160, which cost nearly ($). The fist on didn't last more than a month and the TTL function wasn't consistent. The warranty replacement flash lasted just over a year with the same TTL problem. I've only had the Yongnuo for about two weeks, and all I can say is WOW. The TTL function works great, giving me some very good low light photos. I would definitely recommend this flash. Hopefully the flash will last longer than the warranty. Only time will tell.
