OMG how did i ever travel without noise cancelling headphones!
a word of warning, be careful when plugged into the airplane's entertainment system, when the crew make announcements it's incredibly loud to get over the engine noise and therefore deafening thru these headphones.

Sound quality with noise cancelling on is on-par with what you would expect of a nice set of studio headphones... don't expect it to be that good with it off. Alkaline battery lasts for about 48 hours of continuous use. Noise cancelling targets the prime frequency range you would want... but it lets voices through ok. Don't turn it up too loud as others around you can hear what you are listening to fairly well. Highly recommended.
