I have owned three plasma displays in the past, and was hesitant to purchase an LCD - afraid that the picture would not be as sharp, and contrast not as good. This set is terrific though, and rivals pretty much any plasma I've seen. The picture is laser sharp, the viewing angles are excellent, and the contrast is outstanding. The glossy screen might be an issue for someone that has a window facing the screen, but I believe it also enhances the picture's sharpness and great viewing angles. I would recommend this highly to anyone looking for a television of this size.
