Comments about Meade Meade 80mm (3.1") ED Apochromatic 480mm, f/6 Triplet Optical Tube Assembly (OTA) Refractor:

great at wide field,low power. very good at high power,no false color,high contrast.magnification as sky conditions allow.for the price i couldn't have been happier.remember from suburban skies it is just 80 mm,but i think it out performs my 4 in. achromat.not for the beginner unless u want one of the best right away.6 or 8 in dob is better for beginner for finding stuff.but i like to have both. u need a mount,diag.,and eyepieces.like i said for 649. where else are u gonna get a 80mm triplet apo? i've had mine for 2 years now no problems with it,and i smile every time i get done using it.
