Comments about Orion Orion 182mm Inside Diameter Cast Aluminum Telescope Tube Rings, Set of Two:

I bought these rings to mount my 6" imaging reflector. They came packed very well and arrived in a timely manner. I liked the fact that one of the rings has an adapter to mount a DSLR camera on top of the scope. The rings seem to hold the scope pretty good. They also attach to the dovetail bar that I bought nicely. As long as you make sure the rings are tight around the scope there should be no problem.
The one thing I didn't like about the rings were their weight. I'm using them as part of an astrophotography setup and any extra weight is a burden on accurate and stable guiding. I guess I rather have them be a little heavy and sturdy then light and flimsy though.
All in all it's a good product and I felt like I got my money's worth.
