This small lightmeter might be the most useful rangefinder accessory there is. It brings my 1950s cameras into the modern age and gives them a degree of usefulness that increases the enjoyment of the cameras. The unit is light enough and designed so that it feels like it's part of the camera once it's clipped into the shoe.

I read reviews that talked about how the settings kept slipping on the VC II, but I don't find that's the case at all. both the aperture and shutter speed setting have click stops that stay put. The three LED readout is easy to read and gives under and over exposures readings.

The biggest drawback I see is that I've got a near meter that cost six times what i paid for my FSU rangefinders.
