I like this product because it protects the LCD. when camera is not in use.
Also great as a shade,helps viewing the LCD screen aids in seeing composition.

Not only does the pop up shade help eliminate LCD glare, it protects the LCD from scratches and breakage. The pop up can stay attached or easily be removed and reattached at your discression. It will add about 1/4" thickness to your camera, folds flat and when not in use will completely cover and protect the LCD. It does not look like a cheap "add on", it actually blends to imply that it is an original part of the camera. The pop up shade eliminates the glare on bright sunny days and also protects your LCD. It is worth the investment.

Delkin might consider speeding up the opening process with a one touch button. Hard to find better LCD protection at this price!

I found this item easy to apply to the back of the camera. When I am in non sunny situations, the ease in which the pop-up shade detaches from the glass part lets me use it strictly as an LCD protector.
