I currently have one of these on my Minolta Maxim 650SI. I've become so use to it a DSLR feels empty in my hands without one. Doesn't add that much extra weight. Fits good and has all the buttons. Really like the ability to add a 2nd battery for long shoots and back-up. Has a nice little balance tab in the front to help balance the camera when sitting on a flat surface. I was using the 18-70MM or 24-105mm lens at the time. My 28-200 Tamaron might make it tip because of it's weight. Was a necessary addition to my Sony A700. Plus I got a discounted price when purchased. I was looking for this in the deal as well.
