I find myself using the AA holder more than the Lithium battery that came with my camera, the AA's last longer! Nice to have the option, as power to recharge isn't always readily available, and to have extra charge along if I am in the middle of photographing my two beautiful grand-daughters!

In my opinion, being able to use regular AA battery is a plus. this battery holder is a must have for Pentax Kr SLR.
