I bought my 30D kit in May of 2008 and it has been one of my most cherished purchases ever. Mine came witht he 18-55mm EF-S lens which I upgraded to the 28-135mm IS USM lens from. I also bought the grip for my 30D and I love it as well. I am planning on upgrading to the Canon 7D in May 2010, making 2 full years of full time use, and over 175,000 shots put on my 30D before upgrading.
The Canon EOS 30D; a true tool for photography.

All in all good price for the camera.

BUT inside dirty right from the start, sensor and inside. I have used 4 Sensor Swabs and still can't get a clean sensor. To be honest, it isn't "that bad" I can remove the spots if I see them using the canon software, I use RAW anyhow (took me less then a month to see RAW is the BEST way to go), so one extra step when cleaning the spots. I am sure sooner or later I will get it clean.

The only noticeable thing I could see on the body of the camera was the camera hot shoe has some small marks, not any worse if you installed a flash the 1st time, I assume the marks would happen with any flash that has a metal shoe.

For the savings, I wouldn't have a problem getting referb again. Maybe a 50D is in my future or I could go new if and when a 60D hits the market.

I added my 1st micro shot with the camera (um my 1st micro shot with a DSLR I should add)
