I upgraded from a Rebel XS and this was a HUGE step up! The increased frame rate is great. I love having the dual scroll wheel/directional pad. The combination is a lot easier to learn to use. I can tell there is a higher build quality than the Rebel series too. I feels much more solid in my hands. As far as I have seen, the image quality is great under normal lighting conditions. I've not had the opportunity to push it's limits in low light though. I'm anxious to do so.

I only have two real complaints I have with it so far. Every time I swing out the LCD display, I expect it to rotate the opposite way (very minor, I'll get used to it). Second, the EV control is changed with the large scroll wheel on the back, but is not engaged until after you half-press the shutter button. I'll get used to this as well, but it's a bit annoying right now.

Overall, I love this camera, and the price was right for the features that it has. Couldn't justify the extra $500+ for the 7D's few extra features, and the couple hundred extra $'s were worth it for the built-in wireless speedlite trigger, faster frame rate, and other goodies over the T3i. Atta boy Canon.

Comments about Canon Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera Body Kit, 18 Megapixels, Black with EF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens - U.S.A. Warranty:

I have nothing bad to say about this Camera other then I can't figure out why
Canon down graded this from the 50D that I originally wanted, BUT the Body of
the 60D is SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE! That is a fact I will stand by!! As I said,
i didn't like that Canon down graded this in a way, but the Body is so much more
comfortable, but still wasn't sure i liked it that much. So, I started looking
at the Nikon D7000 for a while (several months debating) and have now come to
the conclussion that the body on that is MOST
UNCOMFORTABLE! And to top that off I don't like the small Buffer in the D7000,
so the end of that.
The 60D has a bigger Buffer of 58 vs. 31 at large JPEGs, and did I mention the
body is so much more comfortable, and don't feel like I am going drop it like
the feeling with the D7000, which I DON'T LIKE.
What I like about the 60D is that it has a little bit more Rubber in the Grip
versus the 50D, a little shorter in height versus the 50D. The 60D has better
ISO range then the 50D that I was looking at, so if your ask me now if i think
it is a downgrade, MAYBE in certain areas, but for the most part, has fixed my
Pet Peaves of the 50D which I liked and wanted.
Along with those, a BONUS I wasn't expecting, a swivel Monitor. I am a
Handicapped person, and this comes in handy for me. I cand stand, but don't get
around very good, and still love Photography, which is something I took in High
School. I am not willing to desert my love of Photography because i am
Handicapped, but using the Swivel Monitor, I can take some shots I might not
have been able to get.
I don't have the Camera yet, but am working what lens are a must and other
accessories to get. I have spent several trips (3 or 4 times) at Best Buy
messing with 60 when I could, and am fairly sure I will keep going there to get
my hands on it.

Great camera the tilt/swivel LCD screen is large and clear and great for those shots that are over head. Functions buttons have been placed in good locations. Good zoom lens (18-135mm), it can be used for most shots, therefore not requiring you to change lenses unless you have special needs. Still learning how to use all the functions, but have taken some great shots. Wish the zoom lens had a zoom lock so that when carrying on your shoulder the lens would stay retracted. The only negative is the camera bag that came with the package. The compartment separator placement and the shoulder strap location.
Sales staff at Adorama was very knowledgeable and helpful during my selection questions. I would buy from Adroama again.

Comments about Canon Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera Body Kit, 18 Megapixels, Black with EF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens - U.S.A. Warranty:

Despite Canon's rating of 32 degrees F for the coldest working range; I've tested it to -35 degrees F. The LCD screen was slow but it still worked great. It handles -15 degrees F all day long.

The built in wireless ttl flash control works great. You can control two groups of flashes from the camera menu screen. No need to buy a speedlite transmitter.

If you are wondering if it is built strong enough, don't. Watch the Nikon D90 vs Canon 550D Durability Test on YouTube. If the Rebel can handle that much abuse and still work I have no worries for the 60D.

This thing takes great pictures. ISO 6400 wow! The extended ISO 12800 is not really useful since it just doubles the exposure of ISO 6400. Of course you get noise at 6400, but it's 6400!

The sensor cleaner works great.

The software that came with the camera works great. I've been able to save a few shots that were taken in this super flat Alaskan winter light.

So far my two biggest complaints would be the focus screen and the number of auto focus points. Why do they put these useless focus screens on DSLR's now a-days? I'll probably sport for an after market focus screen if I ever convert a manual only lens. The number of AF points is only a minor complaint, not that big of an issue.

The 18-135 lens. Wide angle and telephoto in one. This is a great all purpose lens. It does everything. It just doesn't excel in anything. I still recommend it.

Comments about Canon Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera Body Kit, 18 Megapixels, Black with EF 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens - U.S.A. Warranty:

I moved up from a Canon S1IS, then a S5IS to a Canon 50D. The one thing I really missed was the articulating screen and the occasional movie clip. When Canon released the 60D with the features I missed the most I made the move and have not had any regrets. I have had the new 60D a couple of weeks and believe it takes better photos than the 50D. The HD video is exceptional. I took a few short video clips at a high school football game the week I received the camera and when I saw them on a 42" screen I was very impressed. I use the camera mostly for still shots but having the HD video capability is definitely a plus. The 60D is an excellent camera and the kit lens is great. I have tried some of my other lens and can't knock the kit lens, the photos are clear and crisp.
