This is a great product that is often overlooked. Although the Canon T2i (along with the T1i, XS, XSi) is often considered an entry level DSLR, the quality and design is great enough to match the 7D and the 5D Mark II. Low light shooting with high ISO has a decent amount of noise, so I don't recommend this for a lot of low-lit areas. The build of the T2i body is very comfortable, you don't get the compact feel of the XSi; yet it isn't too heavy to make your hands tired after a few shots. Overall, a great piece of work that leaves me feeling that I don't NEED to upgrade anytime soon to a 5D Mark II.

I could find no flaw, mark, sign of wear, or fingerprint on body or lens when the camera arrived. Operation has been perfect. No hot pixels. I've had better luck with Canon refurbs than with new.

I think the kit lens is way under rated.

As partner in a marketing company serving small businesses I wanted to get a camera that would do a good job with general photography and video production. The T2i does this very well. I was tempted by the T3i with the swivel screen and other features but being nearly the same camera this really meets my needs. I can capture great photographs for marketing materials, the web, etc... And I can shoot and produce great promotional and sales videos for clients. I have only had this for a month so far but it completely meets my needs and am glad I purchased the refurbished model. There is no issue whatsoever with it being refurbished and have found it to be very reliable and new in every way. I would suggest to everyone to save some money and buy this instead of the T3i if you are looking to save a couple hundred dollars. Plus you have nothing to lose with a warranty from Adorama for a year. Very happy customer in Ohio!

If your contemplating entering the world of DSLR, The T2i should be your first, don't even bother with anything less!
The T2i shares a lot of features with it's big brothers, yet isn't overwhelming, due to the creative modes. It makes it very easy and quick, to graduate from 'point-and-shoot' to full out manual mode! Plus it's just flat out FUN!
I didn't plan on using the video capabilities much, but after seeing what it can do, I see a lot of video work in my future,,lol
As far as it being a refurb, no problems at all, and it looks brand new! With the same length warranty offered by Adorama, as Canon's, you can't go wrong and it makes the purchase just as confident.
I've taken over 2000 shots in the month I've owned it. Can't wait to start getting some new lenses.
You'll have no regrets with Canon and Adorama!

I took this camera to Tunisia for it's first trip for fear of something happening to my 5D and was blown away at how good the image quality was and it was so easy my 80 year old grandmother was shooting on it. This camera is perfect if you're looking for a first DSLR or something less expensive to take into countries with civil unrest! I also got the 50mm 1.8 and it really surprised me the image quality of the two combined at that price is totally worth it for a beginner a back up ffor your more high end stuff.

Also if you pare it with the kit from adorama the bag they give you and the extra battery are both pretty big but I would recommend a 16gb card as well if you plan on doing a lot of video.

This is my first DSLR, and I love it. I find the kit lens to be very high quality for the price, and although it's slow, it focuses fast and the images come out quite sharp. I got the 100mm f/2.8 macro as well, which is a particularly sharp lens, and though the kit lens isn't as sharp as the 100mm, it's close enough to be comparable. I'm particularly impressed by the high-ISO performance of the camera, though I'm no expert, and I haven't used any other DSLR besides this one. However, the T2i blows away my Powershot P&S by a long ways in low light, and that's even with just the kit lens. I borrowed a 50mm f/1.4, and that combined with this camera was fantastic in low light.

I upgraded from a Canon Digital EOS Rebel XTi to a T2i. One of the first things I noticed when using the T2i is it's light-weight body. Just as with all digital cameras, there is noise at the highest ISO speeds. Noise reduction via any photo software works well at reducing this effect. The auto-ISO is great, but if you are particular about noise & you are an enthusiastic night photographer, adjusting the ISO & using manual mode is best. Photography is a passionate hobby of mine, and I enjoy using the T2i more than the XTi.

Got this Canon T2i DSLR for my wife for Christmas after she had been hinting at wanting a DSLR for some time. This brand and model were my selection after much time and research for the less than $1000 price point. I got an even better deal for the refurbished unit at Adorama and I am very satisfied. Besides the great price the camera works perfectly and looks great. She's taking classes now and is learning the many facets of how to use this fine camera. It has the capabilities to allow her to capture photos more creatively and artifully than her old point and shoot. She loves it!

If only it were a full frame camera, and if only the EOS system had not killed all my Canon FD and Tamron Adaptal lenses that are ALL capable of full frame use.

Since it has a postage stamp sized sensor, it CAN use lesser priced lenses that a full frame camera requires.

Upgraded from a point and shoot camera (Canon PowerShot A590IS) and the quality of photos is stunning in comparison. I actually bought the T2i for the video function but now I plan to use it as my stills camera too. Video is a little tricky getting used to, particularly judging exposure. The daylight, shade, and cloudy white balance presets are too warm for my taste. The auto white balance provides a more pleasing tonal quality, or the manual white balance.

The kit lens is not great, but for the price it is awesome.

I come to this camera after using a Rebel XTi for 4 years; this is like moving to a pro-level camera by comparison. I have been told I have large hands, but this fits well and feels good in my hand. Stunning image quality, even at some of the higher ISO ranges. Amazing quality video, and reasonable stability while shooting hand-held. Had thought about moving to a 60D, but this is a reasonable compromise for the price. The only caveat would be the limited fps for action sequence shooting - but that's not a major hindrance in my work taking pet photos. Would recommend this for a semi-pro - I am one, and love it. I honestly can't imagine just how a more expensive model could be necessary.

I have only used the new camera a few times, but the times that I have, I was impressed with its ability to give me a great exposure even in backlit shots. The main reason I bought this camera was because of the higher number of metered spots, so that I do not have to lock my exposure on every shot to be sure what I want to set my exposure on is used.

The Canon Rebel T2i takes great photos. And if you want a DSLR that is light, compact and portable, without sacrificing image quality, this is a great way to go. I think the kit lens is shockingly good for its cost and weight. But i'd recommend you visit a shop to actually hold the camera. Those with bigger hands may find the camera grip and contours not as comfortable as other models.

This is a GREAT camera for HD-DSLR video. That is primarily what I use it for. I have it setup with a cavision shoulder rig, mattebox, and follow focus with the Canon 24-105mm L lens. PERFECT VIDEO SETUP! Video is all manual (and can be auto): aperature, shutter speed, focus, etc. Records Full HD at 30p or 24p, 720 + 480 at 60i I believe. Its almost identical to the 7D. Video wise they are nearly a perfect match, although the photographic capabilites are great, they are not as good as the 7D. DITCH THE LENS!!!!! It's horrible! Front rotating element? You can't use that! No ND Grad, polarizers, filter systems or matte boxes will work with it. Sell it it a friend or give it away. You are spending $$$$$ on a nice body, buy a nice lens! I only allow canon L lenses on my camera bodies. Spend the extra $$ to get an L lens, EF-S lenses are not great
