Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 4 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

I got this card at a great sale price - haven't seen it as low before or since. I wasn't sure I needed 4 GB of memory but I love it & it came in real handy when I was at CMA Fanfare in Nashville in June. It was great to have just 1 card & not worry about switching. Plus, it's fast! Even at regular price, it's a good deal for a great card!

If you do events, weddings, graduations or sports and shoot RAW this card will help. It's not the fastest or the latest, but it is solid and reliable. I resently bought the Kingston 4 GB Flash Drive to take with me on a safari in South Africa. The quality of the photos is awesome! I was asked when I developed them if they were done by a professional - no just an enthusiastic traveler. For the price and quality, buy an extra. You never know when a lion, elephant, or beautiful sunset needs to be captured.

Seems like yesterday when I was impressed by the speed of a 40X Compact Flash card. Now we're at 300X, and there's no end in sight. Truth is, for 90% of my work, 45X (these cards) is more than sufficient by a wide margin. Reliable, fast enough, and a great warranty. What more could you ask for?

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 4 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

The 4GB 45 X Kingston flash drive is all it has been advertized to be and then some. Up to now I have been using 1 and 2GB flash drives. Nice to be able to shoot a lot of digitial photos in RAW without stopping to replce the flash drive every couple of minutes. When I am shooting I get so involved that I forget to check how may photos I have left and find myself replacing the flash drive just when I want to take a photo. This flash dirve has all but eliminated this operator proble.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 4 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

I've compared this card in my Nikon D70 to a Sandisk Extreme III for multiple shots. The Sandisk EIII states a minimum 20MBs where the Kingston (this product) is 45X or 6.75MBs transfer rate. With the faster write time, I can shoot 60 pictures in 30 seconds (continuous shooting) on the EIII. The Kingston is good with continuous shots (the camera has an internal buffer afterall), but can only squeeze out 30 shots in 30 seconds. So, noticeable difference, but still an excellent value for the price I paid!

I have multiple Kingston Cards in use, and have the utmost confidence in their construction and reliability. The cards work over and over again.
The 45X cards are great with few people needing the extra speed. I find on my 5D very reasonable write speeds, no lag. If you need faster write speeds look at the Kingston 133x cards. I also use those and feel the same way. Great Cards, Great Price!!

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 4 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

Kingston is a reputable company in the computer memory space, so I have no reservations about buying from a fly-by-night off brand CF card. to date it has performed flawlessly for me, and since my camera has a fairly large buffer, and I rarely shoot 'rapid fire', the somewhat slow speed of this card has not been any hinderance for me. It is great to change cards less often!

You get what you pay for. I got this card at a great price after rebate, and I'm happy with it. But the performance is merely average. Copying files from this card onto my computer takes about twice as long as other cards I use (Sandisk Ultra II, among others). If you're in no rush, this card is hard to beat!

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 4 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

While the Kingston card's speed rating is lower than the other 4 GB cards I own, this wasn't a problem during general photograph and downloading from a USB 2.0 card reader. The card has performed realiably in the field and there have been no problems with the card in the downloading process. The card was purchased with a rebate and as such was an excellent value. The product fully met my expectations and I will not hesitate to use the card in any situation except where using my faster cards might be more advantageous.

I bought one for my Dell Axim x51v pda for storage purposes but loved it so I bought a second for my Digital Rebel. I love how much space it is on one card-the digital photo age has made taking photos so much more affordable and mobile for me. With this memory card there is no need to worry about running out of "film", especially if I just shoot in jpg but even with RAW I have so much more space than my smaller cards.

The memory card works fine. I recommend it. Kingston's rebate center is inept and on balance the card may not be worth the hassle. It looks like they've now seen the light.

It works well when tested, although I haven't used it a lot as it is currently a backup for longer trips/photo sessions, after I get through the card currently in the camera.

Great product, no glitches, very sharp images, I'm using a 30D and have NOT had to "wait" on the images to save. And for the price - Get two!

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 4 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

I bought this card as a backup, because I couldn't resist the low price [...]. I really didn't expect much and admit to being pleasantly surprised. I have had no problem with slow buffering using the card on my Canon EOS 5D, and the transfer time to my laptop is reasonably fast too! My other cards are SanDisk Ultra and Extreme cards, some of which cost double and triple what this card did, and I notice no appreciable difference in performance.

Even though it is only rated at a 45, I have not experienced any problems. It did pause my shooting a couple of times shooting long burst in the RAW mode.

Comments about Kingston Technology Kingston Technology 4 GB, 45x Elite Pro Compact Flash Memory Card:

I've used Kingston cards for years and never had a problem. This card is plenty fast for the Canon 30D and any other camera for that fact. Transfer speeds using a card reader are great too. You can't go wrong with this card. Others say for a "Con" that it is bulky. It is the same size as any other CF card so I don't understand the negative rating on that one.

Good CF Card worked great on my Rebel XT and EOS20D. But REBEL XT counter is only upto 999 and this card can hold more than 999 and so you would not know how many pictures are there in the card. Not a problem though.

I tested its speed with IO testing software, the actual speed is even faster that it has stated. I usually pick CF cards from different companies, with lifetime warranty and high speed, you can't go wrong with this one. (BTW, it is not extreme speed, but fast enough for most of the cameras by the date of 02/12/2007)
