Comments about Nikon Nikon 55 - 300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX VR II (Vibration Reduction) Autofocus Zoom Lens with 5 Year U.S.A. Warranty:
Image quality is great. The focus is like the 18-200. It is long and barely fits in my holster bag , but that is what I wanted. I backed off the 70-300 because its hard to lug that big guy around all day. No creep at all and the dial is smooth and sturdy - it feels better than the 18-200. The lens hood is a very cool four corner design. I'm still trying to figure out how they made it.

Comments about Nikon Nikon 55 - 300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX VR II (Vibration Reduction) Autofocus Zoom Lens with 5 Year U.S.A. Warranty:
The 55-300mm lens allows for great range of shots, close and far. The good thing about this lens is its' built in VR stabilization. This makes taking handheld shots a lot easier and not having to worry too much about camera shake at reasonable shutter speeds. The autofocus is great and the lens is built very well. I would recommend this lens to anyone.

Comments about Nikon Nikon 55 - 300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX VR II (Vibration Reduction) Autofocus Zoom Lens with 5 Year U.S.A. Warranty:
Lens is super sharp at all focal lengths. Only CON is that it is heavy - but not that heavy. This is to be expected. Took handheld pictures at 300mm and they are crisp and clear. Cropped one (taken at 300mm) and it looked super. Will be a great lens for landscapes and sports or other functions that need a telephoto.

Comments about Nikon Nikon 55 - 300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED AF-S DX VR II (Vibration Reduction) Autofocus Zoom Lens with 5 Year U.S.A. Warranty:
A great DX lens. The image IQ is consistent and excellent. It is a little slow to focus at times (not majorly slow) and the zoom is not as smooth as I would like. There is absolutely no lens creep. The VRII is superb! A great lens. I was looking at getting the 70-300 VR but bought this one instead. I am glad I did. The 55mm low end focal length makes this lens more versatile. I would buy this again and recommend it for DX cameras.
