Comments about Tokina Tokina 11mm - 16mm F/2.8 ATX Pro DX Autofocus Zoom Lens for Sony Digital SLR Cameras.:
This lens is outstanding! It is very very sharp compared to the tamron, sigma and sony even at 2.8. The lens hood and caps are of high quality. The only problem I can see with this lens is that on the A700 the custom clutch ring doesn't work for switching MF/AF. I called the company and it is performing correctly. On the A700 the only way to switch from MF/AF is on the body itself not the lens. The custom lens switch clutch ring will not disactivate AF unless the body is set on MF. This doesn't bother me at all for the A700 can switch very quickly if needed. This lens is very good and worth every penny. I have tried many and nothing compares to it!

The is the best wide-angle zoom for the Sony/Minolta user. Very sharp, even at f2.8 and robust construction. Superior to the Sony/Minolta/Tamron 11-18mm 4.5-5.6.
