I chose this over the adomrama brand, which i found to be not as high quality. Very sturdy, textured internal area. Can be reversed, though the lens MUST be on manual focus or you are pulling on the motor.

Removes flare, period. It does a great job of this, that is all that is required, it is durable enough for me (as I am not climbing mountains and banging the camera into longhorn sheep).

Canon told me they no longer made this product, but it was the only one to fit my lens. Fortunately, Adorarama was better supplied with Canon products than Canon was.

I leave this on my 55-250mm lens all the time. I have not yet confirmed that it benefits my image quality, but I am sure it does no harm. It affords significant protection to the lens.

What's not to work? You mount it on the lens and shoot! But, Canon really should include hoods with their lenses. Pretty much every other brand that builds lenses for Canons does. Canon lenses aren't cheap by any comparison, and a lens hood is, in my opinion, essential for light control and protection of the front element. And, very few [...] that sell the lenses also stock the hoods, so you have to order and wait.

I have used It a handful of times and have seen better color and the occasional gray cast over a shot from the heavy sunlight has not shown up since I started using it. The only thing I am disappointed about is that Canon doesn't include their lens hoods with the product, like Sigma does.

if your look for the perfect hood for you 75-300 lens look no further this is the perfect size for shading your lens. I bought it for the canon EF 75-300mm III usm lens and it fits it and all of my other lenses that are 58MM size
