Due to the fact that the Remote has to be pointed directly at the camera when shooting outdoors in the sun, it has limited applications. Using it indoors is definitely more effective, where the IR beam isn't scattered so much. I would recommend this product to someone who understands well that it is not meant to be used just like a remote shutter release.

Advertised for the IQ, but works just fine with my K10D. Small, light, easy to carry. Make sure you put it somewhere in your camera bag where it won't get lost -- it's that small!

This simple remote is compatible with many Pentax cameras. It makes taking a family photo much easier. However, it's very small and easy to lose. Overall, works as advertised.
