I was looking for a good-quality small meter to use with my Yashica Mat 124G, because the built-in meter is not always very accurate. The Sekonic L-208 turned out to be the perfect solution, at a reasonable price.

I was looking for something that had a shoe mount that would fit on some an old rolli as well as an old bronica, that would not be to digital, as I wanted to get exposures that would be very old school yet would be accurate enough to allow me to use for a variety of small projects with other cameras..this fit the bill.

I use this with my M4 and Mamiya 6 while doing street photography. It perfect except that the ISO setting can slip if not careful. Too bad Sekonic didn't make it locking.

The Seconic L-208 is compact, accurate, light, and easy to use. And it's sensitive enough for most applications. Perfect for those photographers who like to do things the old-fashioned way - by taking their own exposere readings. Or those who love using those wonderful, classic, meterless 35mm and medium format cameras.

Very small, compact and lightweight. Real pocket-size meter, but readings are not always consistant. Better than nothing, but I would not use it for very critical work.

I actually had my eye on Model # L-358 but decided to give this one a try for less than half the cost. When I tried it, It worked well! It worked even better than I expected it would. It is very accurate for a analog meter. It does not have a flash function, but I don't need that at this time. If you are on the fence about this meter, don't worry, it works well!

This small meter has a unique mount that allows me to mount it on the accessory/flash shoe of the camera. Now I have a light weight meter right on the camera instead of carrying a separate light meter. Very nice. The shoe mount design is flexible enough to use on a 1950 camera.
I did have to add a cardboard shim to get the battery to make contact in the battery compartment.
