When I received this backpack, first though it is small and not all my gears will fit in this. But to my surprise, it allow me to pack all my gears...Nikon D700 with 24-70mm lens, Sigma 105mm macro lens, Nikon 70-300mm lens, filter pack, external flash, external storage device, lens cleaning kit, remote control and my purse, 2 water bottles, and snack bars :D Oh yes...forgot the tripod with ball head.
If you see, this camera is heavy so as those lenses. When I go out on hike, I walk almost 16-20 miles with photo gears and tripod. This backpack went extremely comfortable on my back, and shoulders with no pain or fatigue. When I got caught in rains, it protected my equipments being waterproof. Very good support inside for photo gears. Amongst all 3 backpacks I've, I love this most now due to comfort, east and protection.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Flipside 400 AW Backpack with All Weather Cover & Hypalon SlipLock Loops, Pine Green/Black:
I was very surprised when I received this backpack. It had enough room to add all my gear which included a Canon 400mm lens. I have inside this pack a Canon 30D with a 28-135 lens attached, the 400 lens, a 70-200 lens, a 100 macro, a 1.4 extender, handheld exposure meter, 3 CF cards, several filters, a 580EX flash, camera battery charger with spare battery, AA battery charger for my flash system, spare flash batteries, flash cord, remote shutter release and the list goes on with the smaller items. After putting all this in the pack it was a little heavy for us older folks but it did not feel uncomfortable. I have not used this in the field yet but I am sure it will function as I expect it to. It is wide enough on the back that it should not cause any discomfort after hours of use. The only drawback of this pack is that you have to take it off to access any other lenses that you might want to change. When I was looking for the hidden compartment that contains the cover I thought I was going to have to call customer service to tell them that the cover was missing. I finally found it as it was well hidden. For those that buy this pack look at the very bottom of the pack (in the back) and you will see a slit that is held closed by velcro. Here you will find the cover. The paper you get with the pack does not tell you where the hidden compartment is.
