Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Fastpack 250 Digital SLR & Widescreen Notebook Backpack, Water Resistant & 180-Degree Access Panel, Black:

The bag is well made and can carry a 70-200mm attached along with 2 other med/small lens. In the top part I can fit 2 Flashes plus a bunch of other little stuff like extra batteries. The bag fits a 15in laptop and my ipad. Fits all my stuff but it is big - which should be expected lugging all that around. I do wish it had the rain cover like my sling bag.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Fastpack 250 Digital SLR & Widescreen Notebook Backpack, Water Resistant & 180-Degree Access Panel, Black:

Great bag overall. Good protection for gear. Bottom heavy with gear so tends to rest comfortably on back without pulling on shoulders too much. Additionally, when placed on ground doesn't tend to tip over. Down side is storage is a little tight. I have my Canon EOS, 70-200mm L lens, 18-200 do everything lens, vivitar flash, external battery drive and battery charger. So, each compartment is full and with the 70-200 lens with a lens hood makes things tight.

The side access will make it more difficult for theives to unzip the access panel. Since it is black, it looks like a back pack, not a bag with $4K worth of gear inside.

OK FOR 1 BODY AND 3 SMALLER LENSES OR 2 SMALLER LENS AND 1 LARGER.

NO ARRANGEMENT FOR TRIPOD OR MONOPOD IS A NEGATIVE.

ANOTHER NEGATIVE IS NO WAY TO GET WAIST BANKD OUT OF THE WAY IF NOT IN USE

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Fastpack 250 Digital SLR & Widescreen Notebook Backpack, Water Resistant & 180-Degree Access Panel, Black:

I've been looking for a larger backpack and one that would fit my laptop to make it easier when traveling.
I chose this bag after much consideration. There are several things I really don't like about it:
1. There is a waist strap that I failed to notice. While this could be great for some, as far as I'm concerned fastening this strap around my waist is the equivalent of wearing a fanny pack. Probably going to cut that off even though doing that to a bag feels wrong.
2. The compartments are not really adjustable. You can remove them, but since the velcro is located in a single spot you cannot move them forward or backward to better fit your gear. I have a Canon 50D which is on the small side for the camera compartment but there is no way to adjust the bag to fit the camera better. And that brings me to the last problem:
3. The FastPack is meant for fast access to your camera, I get that. It does provide that. But when you open the camera compartment completely there is nothing keeping the camera in place which seems to me would make it very easy for it to fall out of the bag. I'm going to have to figure something out to keep it in place during times I'm not shooting.
Still considering returning it.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Fastpack 250 Digital SLR & Widescreen Notebook Backpack, Water Resistant & 180-Degree Access Panel, Black:

I purchased this bag so I would not have to carry a camera bag and a laptop bag when I travel. And since that is the only time I am planning to use it, I needed something that was not expensive. The LowePro Fastpack 250 serves my needs.

I am able to fit a Nikon D2x with a Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 lens attached (although it is a little snug), a Nikon SB900, Nikon 18-70 f/3.5-4.5 lens, Sekonic flash/light meter, and still have room for an additional lens. The only problem I have is that you cannot rearrange the padded dividers. You can remove them, but not set up a different arrangement.

The top compartment will easily hold an Ipod, cellphone, GPS, stereo headphones, snacks, chargers, a windbreaker type jacket, and a small book.

The laptop compartment will hold a 15" Mac Book Pro (and I am sure that a 17" Mac Book Pro would fit) and a magazine without any problem.

The other two compartments will hold cables, a media card reader, owner's manual, additional batteries, etc.

So far I am satisfied with my purchase, and if I had been able to rearrange the padded dividers, I would have given this bag 5 stars.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Fastpack 250 Digital SLR & Widescreen Notebook Backpack, Water Resistant & 180-Degree Access Panel, Black:

This pack is absolutely great. It gives me plenty of room for all my lenses, cameras, and flashes, plus other random accessories. The laptop sleeve is large enough for my macbook and several folders and spiral notebooks. So, I don't have to choose between camera bag and backpack. Lowepro fit a whole lot of space into a small area. Plus, even when completely loaded down, it still feels like a pillow on your back. Best camera bag/case/pack I have ever used.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Fastpack 250 Digital SLR & Widescreen Notebook Backpack, Water Resistant & 180-Degree Access Panel, Black:

I like this bag, it stores two bodies and much more...very good for camera specific. I didn't like the size/compartment for the laptop. It is built for a smaller size screen laptop. It would be perfect if I could slide the 17" screen laptop right into the bag.

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Fastpack 250 Digital SLR & Widescreen Notebook Backpack, Water Resistant & 180-Degree Access Panel, Black:

I recently used it on a trip. No problems w airport security and there is easy access to laptop so you can take that out. I also use it to store my most commonly used stuff so I am always ready to go. There is a ton of room with really good organizational capabilities. Very rugged construction. It does not come with a rain cover, nor is there a way to attach a tripod unless you just bungee it to the top handle. Both issues pretty easy to deal with, and I am very happy with this product.

Looked at a ton of back packs, shoulder & messenger bags before going with the LowePro. By far the best bang for the buck out there. Also purchased one of the Lowepro Slip Lock 30 pouches for a multi media audio recorder. I'm set!
