Comments about Pelican Pelican 1610 Watertight Hard Case with Dividers & Wheels - Charcoal Black:

This is a great case. It hold all my equipment safe and secure. I have three Nikon DSLR bodies and 7 lenses in there along with all the extras. There is still room to grow. The only issue with this case is it's HEAVY! Be ready to use some muscles when you need to lift it. Other than that, it's perfect.

Comments about Pelican Pelican 1610 Watertight Hard Case with Dividers & Wheels - Charcoal Black:

Bought this as a birthday present for my son. It was on his wish list. Having seen the case recently it appears to be just what any photographic enthusiast/professional would want that has much equipment to store. Son is happy too.

Because of it's size it will be a concern when all equipment it carrys isn't necessary, or when space is limited. Therefore a smaller case may also be more preferable.

Comments about Pelican Pelican 1610 Watertight Hard Case with Dividers & Wheels - Charcoal Black:

I made this purchase based on need and reputation. I wanted to consolidate my photo equipment into one case and eliminate the single cases with my telephoto lenses. The 1610 comes standard with a retractable handle and the wheels are like those used on roller skates. Not cheap materials and very well constructed. The Pelican 1610 fills my needs and adds considerable protection as well. Not to mention it is waterproof and dust proof. I do however, recommend purchasing a reusable silica gel pack to store with your equipment. I carry extra insurance on all my photo equipment and I received a discount from my insurance underwriter just by purchasing the Pelican 1610 for transporting and storing my photographic equipment. This case like many of Pelican cases meet or exceed military standards. Enough said!

Comments about Pelican Pelican 1610 Watertight Hard Case with Dividers & Wheels - Charcoal Black:

The Pelican 1610 with dividers and wheels (a.k.a Pelican 1614) holds the bulk of my photographic equipment. I use it for transporting my gear to and from location shoots. It is large enough so that it can hold a multitude of lenses, pro SLR camera bodies, flash gear etc. You can even fit the compact Manfrotto 3373 light stand in it.

The case is deep enough such that lenses like 70-200mm ones can be stored standing up(hood stowed of course) and tall DSLR bodies like the Nikon D3 can be stored upright.

The Pelican 1614 is by no means light once fully loaded, but this is expected for a case with its capacity and sturdy construction. You can be assured your equipment stays protected and safely stowed away once the lid is secured shut.

I use it in combination with a pair of Brinks combination locks and two cable rope slings secured to the spare tire in my car's trunk. This makes it relatively safe to leave it in your vehicle for a short period of time should you need to. Think of it as a large, plastic safe.
