Comments about Adorama Flaspoint Secure Digital (SD or SDHC) to CompactFlash Memory Card Adapter:
I bought this card adapter to see if I could use it to shoot video with my Canon 7D using SDHC cards instead of Compact Flash cards. Shooting stills worked just fine, but shooting video didn't work. I tried a variety of SDHC cards and none would record more than 3 seconds of video. If I was traveling and only shooting stills, this card would be fine for using smaller, cheaper SDHC cards. But if you want to shoot video, stick with compact flash cards.

I use mostly compact flash cards in my digital SLR's. I have a few SDHC class 4 cards that I wanted to put to use in my SLR. Seems to read and write a bit on the slow side. Otherwise, works fine.

The Compact Flash Type II Card Adapter for SDHC/MMC cards work great!
It's simple and straight forward to use. The SD card spring clips into the side of the adapter, then you set the adapter into your camera or computer's card reader slot. The performance of the camera is slower with the adapter than with a standard CF card (I use Type III and IV SanDisk CF cards in my Nikon D-300) in CH continuous shooting it runs about 5 frames per second rather than 6-7 fps with the type III/ IV CF cards.
One glitch is downloading the SD card to the computer. When you use a SD card in the adapter to capture images with your camera, you must use the Compact Flash Type II Card Adapter to read that SD card. You cannot read / download the SD card on your computer without using the SD card in the SD/CF adaptor . You must read/ download the SD card using the Compact Flash Type II Card Adapter. Apparently the adapter changes the configuration of the SD card. Downloading the SD card is slower when using the adapter.
But if you have several SD cards and now use a camera that uses a CF card this is a great tool / investment.

When my son's Nikon D50 died I gave him my spare D70S. Unfortunately he had made an investment into SD cards. So the CF to SD converter was the perfect thing to get. Great Price and great item.

Very useful because I have several cameras that use different type of cards. I also own PC and MAC and was able to use this item with both systems.

When shooting pictures for my friends, I can use their SDHC flash cards in my Nikon D300 camera. When done, I just give them their SD card back.
Since my laptop reads and writes SD cards, I can preview my pictures on my laptop in the field.
