Comments about Kodak Kodak Tri-X Pan TXP Professional 4164 Black & White Film ISO 320, 4 x 5" - 50 Sheets:

With ISO 320, my camera can be set at higher speed. That help to reduce vibration.
Images still look great when enlarging to 20 x 24 inches.

Comments about Kodak Kodak Tri-X Pan TXP Professional 4164 Black & White Film ISO 320, 4 x 5" - 50 Sheets:

Our advanced black and white class deals with learning the intricacies of the 4x5 view camera, and for this class, we shoot 4x5 Tri-X. This is a serious, professional-level program, and we are expected to produce work on a professional level.

There are newer emulsions available, but it's hard to find one that gives the beautiful look of properly-exposed Tri-X develpoed in full strength D76. It's absolutely gorgeous, and enlarges to huge dimensions without visible grain.

One hint: it works better if you set your meter to ISO 160 and expose and develop accordingly. The negatives are absolutely beautiful, and seeing the finished work after enlarging is its own reward.

Obviously, 4x5 sheet film is not the stuff for action shots. The average photographer is NOT going to try to capture action with a view camera, but it makes for gorgeous portraits and scenincs.
