Comments about Adorama Adorama Shoe-To-Tripod Screw Adapter:

When you just HAVE to add some 1/4x20 threaded item to your camera and all you have is a cold/hot shoe. I use it to attach a little shade umbrella to my Sony A1U while shooting long exteriors and works like a charm.

Adorama phone rep. unknowledgeable

Comments about Adorama Adorama Shoe-To-Tripod Screw Adapter:

I called Adorama's sales representative asking specifically if the shoe to tripod adapter fit the Sony/Minolta propriety flash. I was told "it fits all flashes". Click. It does not fit Sony/Minolta late flashes.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Shoe-To-Tripod Screw Adapter:

this piece isn't too wimpy, I wish the metal part that goes into the shoe was a little beefier.. I have this for mounting a Quantum Q-Flash to stroboframe so we'll see how long it takes to fail. There are only a few options for 1/4-20 to hotshoe and this will be fine for a light head like Norman/ Lume but I'm a tad nervous with the Q-Flash.

Works great. Added a small ballhead to the top of a flip-frame so I could add Swivel to a Speedlight with no swivel. Now I can bounce anywhere .

Comments about Adorama Adorama Shoe-To-Tripod Screw Adapter:

I use it on a camera handle mount to attach a wired TTL flash which can be detached to shine on the subject at any handheld angle I want off the lens axis. Great gizmo.
