Tricky connection to camera, was hard to get secure mounting. One of the cheap plastic flash connectors broke after second usage. Worked much better when they were replaced with stroboframe versions.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Straight Bracket with Two Adjustable Flash Shoe Mounts:
I intend to attach the bracket--after bending it 90 degrees--to a four-way macro rail to assemble a panoramic head for my Pentax K10D. I will not be using either of the flash shoe mounts, so their quality isn't important to me. The bracket itself seems like it will be very sturdy, and it should support the weight of my camera with lens and battery grip. I'll know more when I put things together.

Tripod socket in the middle will not fit a normal tripod screw or the tripod screw adapter supplied by Adorama. Seems like it was tapped incorrectly. Maybe I can run a tap through it and fix it but seems like a lot of bother. Also one of the flash shoes was missing from the package...supposed to be one at each end.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Straight Bracket with Two Adjustable Flash Shoe Mounts:
This little bracket works great. I use it two ways: one is for two flashes mounted on a tripod, the other is for two flashes and my DSLR on a tripod. You'll need Adorama's little knob for this (available for about five bucks), which will hold the DSLR to the bracket and has a metal screw receptical in the bottom to hold it to the tripod. The bracket is simple yet elegant. It just works.

I love this bracket and would buy another one in a heartbeat - I used the included cold shoes a few times but have since been using the AS-19 plastic flash stands for Nikon speedlights (and since one comes with every flash I didn't have to buy extras).
I use this bracket for shooting 2 speedlights to overcome ambient, or I'll double up flashes and the cut the flash output in half, which speeds up my recycle time.

For the price this bracket is great. I use it with nikon speedlights and replaced the cold shoes with the nikon stands that came with my flashes so I could use the locking pin to keep them more secure. I also use the new radio popper mounts on these and they work just fine. I did have a problem with one of the pieces of rubber coming off but a little super glue fixed that, might be better if the rubber wrapped around an edge to hold it on better.
Essentially it is just a flat piece of metal with holes in it and a threaded mount but I don't think I could make one for any cheaper and this saved me the trip to the hardware store.
I replaced the lastolite triflash with these and have been very happy so far.

Comments about Adorama Adorama Straight Bracket with Two Adjustable Flash Shoe Mounts:
The coldshoe pieces where the screw fits in are plastic and broke too easily. Should have been all metal construction. Also, the rubber padding along either side did not stay on very well. Great concept, poorly designed.
