Comments about Digi-Slave Digi-Slave L-Ring 3200, Powerful, Versatile LED Ring Light with Removable Diffuser, Continuous or Flash for Digital Macro Photography:

I have owned this light since it was first released. It provides beautiful flat lighting. I use it on my Kowa Super 66 with a 110mm macro lens.

This unit is sturdy enough for me and easy to use. The lighting is totally predictable. I'm a happy camper.

Comments about Digi-Slave Digi-Slave L-Ring 3200, Powerful, Versatile LED Ring Light with Removable Diffuser, Continuous or Flash for Digital Macro Photography:

I use this hand held to document modifications and documentation errors on computer equipment. The continuous mode provide enough illumination to focus in tight spaces and stop down to f8 or f11. For this kind of work it is much quicker and easier to use than a ring flash.

Note: The other equipment used is Nikon D3, 105VR Macro, and sometimes a Kenko AF 12mm extension tube.

Annoyances;
1. The flash rotates freely on its adapter ring. This means that the battery compartment is always down. I often have to hold it to the side to get clearance. I'm sure that I could fix this by cutting down a bayonet lens hood and gluing it to the flash.
2. The battery compartment gets warm with extended use. Not enough to melt, but probably enough to age the plastic faster than normal.

Purchased this light and when it arrived found it to be very light weight plastic, almost toy like. Not for heavy usage and lightwill flash whil ein your hand and in the off position. I will say the lights are extremely bright.This light is note worth the listed price. More of a under 100 dollars type pruchase
