Picked up this model specifically because I had an old SB-25 I thought I'd use solely for when I needed a gridded snoot or snooted setup in portraits. This model claims to fit an SB-25 but it doesn't. You can make it work, but you literally need to break the plastic pieces on the sides of the flash attachment part. Vertically the flash fits with this, but laterally the SB-25 is too wide to fit the adapter and since it is hard plastic there isn't much give. I ended up just breaking the sides of the adapter off and using gaffer tape to connect the flash. It will fit a 430 EXII head just fine though.

The unit is well-constructed and comes with two grids to give you even more control the light. I'd recommend it and give it five stars were it not for the fact that it didn't fit the SB-25 as advertised.

Nice surprise, my unit came with two honeycombs. One lets less light pass vs. the other. I love that I now can direct a specific light source in such a compact arraignment as speed-lights.On the CON side, the unit is not collapsable, wish it was. The strap that comes with it to secure it to the speed-light is a little weak. Basically you place a wide rubber band on the flash unit and then squeeze the tabs on the snoot with a velcro strap. This is really not a deal breaker for me.In the photo I enclosed, you can see how I used the snoot to highlight my wife's hair. So, if you like to travel light and demand light control, this unit is very good for that purpose. [...]
