This my first strobelight and I bought this unit after reading the first review on Adorama. So far, I am very please with the result I get with this unit. The unit is powerfull and sturdy and recycles fast. I am looking forward to getting lots of pictures with it. I am also planning to by two extra strobes in the near future.

I was pleasantly surprised with this kit. While there may be better monolights out there, this has an exceptional price to value ratio. It feels very well built (aluminum case and quality switches) and it performs great (powerful with very quick refresh). The stand seems very sturdy and the umbrella works well for bouncing or shoot-through. It came with a long sync cable and AC/DC power cords. It also has a sturdy protective guard that covers the modeling light/flash tube when not in use. For those who are less experienced, it even comes with a well-done color booklet titled, "The Flashpoint Guide to Studio Lighting," illustrating various lighting setups.

This monolight is powerful enough to meet most small to medium studio needs. I recommend it, and I'm pleased enough with it that I'm going to buy a Flashpoint II 320M to use as a fill/backup flash.
