Nice light weight monolight. The only issue is that the slave sensor is weak (so I attach my receiver to this one and let it trigger the others)

I like that it's sturdy and is a good buy for th money. It recycles quickly and doesn't run too hot. This light mixed in with my others makes for a great start to a portable studio set up.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
This is really a great product at a spectacular price point. It easily competes with my other monolights that cost 3x or more than this product. Also, you get [...] the ability to add a lot of cheap (cost) modifiers. I used this monolight as a hair light this weekend in which it was used (and on) for in excess of 20 hours. I'm seriously going to consider adding a few more of these (and it's bigger brothers) to my portable lighting setup. I find these stack up quite well to the Alien Bee products at a fraction of the cost.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I bought this strobe in hopes that I could use it in conjunction with my Nikon Speed light but I had no luck in getting it to fire at the correct time using commander mode on my Nikon D90. Neither Nikon nor Adorama were any help so I returned it. Other than that in my short experience with it it seemed to be a very usable light.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I haven't used other monolights, but after my initial experiences with the Flashpoint 320m two light kit that I bought, I don't believe that I'll be using anything else. I read a revue of them by Joe Farace that was very good, and I'd have to agree with everything he said about them. They're powerful enough for portraits of one or two people (I shoot mostly head shots and upper third of the body so they work great), and they're nearly all rugged aluminum. I will get either the 620 or 1220 in the future for a third light to use as a key, but these will do me fine for quite a while I think. Very impressed. :D
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I've been into photography for a few years, but was always intimidated by studio lighting equipment. The Flashpoint 320M allowed me to begin somewhere without having to spend hundreds, if not thousands, on equipment I'd use only as a hobby.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
Ordered this light as a back-up light source. Could not believe how well it works and the cost of it once it arrived. Would definetely buy again.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I have used this kit to take a few portraits and I am pleased with the results. The kit is solid and the flash heads have good power. This is a great kit to start with.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
This is the best monolight for the price. This is a great entry light for serious amateurs that want to put together a nice functional studio for a great low price. I will be adding a second light probably the stronger 620. I have not had it long enough to comment on its durability but it seems to made of very good quality material. I would not hesitate on recommending this light. It does not have an internal cooling fan but one would not expect one at this price point. Getting too hot had not been a problem at this point. A model light is a great feature at this price and its housing seems to be durable. Flashpoint offers great products at great prices.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
So I just got these in the mail. Spent a good part of the day playing with them. So far everything is great. I love how you have a protective cover and the build quiality seems solid. I have a wedding coming up and own 2 nikon sb-800's and 1 sb-600 and was going to use them till I got this. I did a lot of reading and some suggested that an sb-800 at full power should be similar to this unit. Let me tell you that after the test shots, this is atleast twice as powerful. I had to bring down the unit to below 1/2 power just to get similar results to my sb-800. Do yourself a favor and save the time by buying this unit. I have shot a lot of weddings but never had studio lights. I wish I had them in the past. I often would find some issues with bounce flash and let me tell you bounce one of these units and you should have enough power for a large room and if you add a second one, you are golden. Do not buy into the HYPE of more power unless you are shooting something that calls for it.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
pleasantly surprised with quality when compared to my main lighting. I wanted inexpensive lights to take in field without fear of trashing them, plus have ability to shoot where no external power is available (battery recycle times and number of cycles meets my neds also). These units more then do this in situations that need low powered light with more diffusion capabilities then I have with portable strobes.

This is my first set of studio flash lighting, and I am very well pleased. They are powerful, lots of settings, love the built in slaves and modeling lights. I am a part timer and use them for indoor portraits, plus I travel to indoor events and shoot.
I took this self portrait with my Flashpoints!

I'm currently waiting for my 3rd replacement light, the model light housing on the first one didn't work, the optical slave on the 2nd one didn't work, we'll see what is wrong with the 3rd one. I know they're very cheap strobes but I expect them to work new out of the box. If you are going to go cheap, don't go Flashpoint!
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
For the longest time our studio has been exclusively PhotoGenic and WhiteLightning customers when it comes to MonoLights. I have been aware of FlashPoint for years, but never stepped up. Recently, We had a Photogenic 1250 die on us (after long good service) The proposed repair bill amounted to more than the price of 3 Flashpoints.. I thought now's the time to try them. I am amazed at the apparent build quality and fit and finish. Only a few months use will reveal any flaws or deficiencies. Today, though, I am feeling pretty smart about buying these. Oh and they work with the AlienBees vagabond battery set up too.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
This was my first monollight kit and it is a great starter kit. It is nice to be able to get most of what you need all in one kit to get started with studio light- I am going to have to add another kit soon.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I have just gotten one of these and wasn't expecting much...but I was blown away, I've used several brands before, but the flashpoints are just great, right up there in quality.
Great build quality, great output, professional, easy to use
and I really can't think of any cons, maybe the fact that the modeling light isn't dimmed with the power of the entire range of the strobe, but thats minor.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I'm re-starting, so I was looking for bang for the buck, and I'm getting it with this. I bought it about a month ago, so I can't tell you about durability or longevity, but I am happy with it so far for quality and quantity of light... The slave fires very nicely with my SB-600 fired into a far corner of a 14x18' room at 1/64 power - I think that's good enough. It also recycles very rapidly. In my little studio here, I'm mostly using it into an umbrella at about 1/4 on the dial. I'm probably going to add another of these, along with a 600ws model. This is a pretty large piece of gear, so I'm probably getting some heavy-duty stands first.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I use this strobe for my studio work that I set up on site or in my living room or garage. Works great for that. It might not be bright enought for a large room, but it works great for me. 2 of them would make a nice set up. I would recommend this although I have not used it a lot, only a couple times & it worked great.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
This is a very sturdy piece of equipment at a reasonable price. It is a good value as you set up your photo studio. Clearly, it is an elite professional monolight, but is functions flawlessly in a smaller studio both as a main light and a slave. I am very pleased with this light and recommend it.

as an old retired pro (dating back to Ascore Sunlite Series and Dy Transfer) I needed something simple (and cheap) for location copies of art work. I had low excitations of this product but felt it would do! I must say I was surprised to find that these are well built quality units capable of serious professional work. The GN was as advertised. Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
My sessions are generally outdoors. I bought 2 of these with the battery pack and stands so that I could use them both in and outdoors. They also came with the umbrella which made the light perfectly soft for the indoor/low-romantic light I needed. It was really easy to connect one light to my camera and the other ran off sensor. The two lights and a speedlight bounce eliminated nearly all harsh shadows It was super easy to adjust position and light intensity to suit different skin tones, heights, etc. I look forward to using them outside when the situation calls for it. I haven't yet used the battery packs, but they seem simple enough. The price was also great for the quality.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
The 320 lights are great. I'm loving this newer 320M as it has "sound" to let me know it's ready...a function I've seen on much more expensive lights. Flashpoint does it again....high quality products at fair prices....that give GREAT results.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I have to admit that the first one I got failed to fire pretty regularly but it was replaced immediately without questions and the one I have now seems to work just as advertised. I have used it on one model shoot and some still-life shots and it gave me great results.
Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I got two of these Flashpoint 320's in a kit. I did not get what I was expecting for the price. I got 10 times more than what I was expecting. These are not casual photographer flash kits. They are Pro kits. Yet, they have easy to understand controls, and a great booklet that describes lighting employment. I have used them for baby pictures and I will use them for a wedding coming up soon. I have a high level of confidence that I will get superb results. I am genuinely impressed.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I am starting to learn about studio lighting and wanting to take portraits of my kids. These lights are good if you have room to set-up a background and some light stands. I have been pleased so far and they seem to have all the features I will need for some time to come. When firing these at full power there is a lot of light. I wouldn't get the more powerful ones unless you know these don't have enough light for your purposes.

I bought a flash piont II 320A (120 volt model) loved it wanted to buy another but the 320A is now a 240 volt model, so I went with the 320M AC/DC model and Im glade i did, its far more advanced and versatile with 2 mono light setings and the strob control also controls the light leveal on the mono light, this is all somthing that the 320A does not do, but the 320M does do. Very Nice.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I use the Flashpoint II 320M in my studio, I shot with hotlights for years and after purchasing these lights I would never go back, they are portable and durable enough if I needed to take them on location or as lighting in my studio. Good range of light and the features are very easy to use. The one drawback is there was no user manual to help with set up of the lights, but I was able to figure it out. I would recommended this product to anyone looking for high quality lights.

I bought these lights for a specific shoot I was doing. Luckily I have worked with monolights in the past since there were no directions or paperwork with the product at all to show how it set up. Not the most powerful light kit out there, but great for the money.

Recently purhcased the 3 light kit. Took great pics out of the box. Just finished a large banquet and the performance was impressive for such an inexpensive light kit.

Comments about Flashpoint Flashpoint II 320M, 150 Watt Second AC / DC Monolight Strobe.:
I just got this product, so I do not have a detailed review at this point. [...] This has more features than the 320A. It is very powerful. The umbrella fits nicely, and it beeps when it is charged. This is a great value, and perfect for someone like me that is just starting out in portrait photography. The 320A reviews mentioned the cap not being large enough for the modeling light, but the cap that comes with this light is large enough. Wish I would have known that because we bought a large cap based on the reviews we read for the 320A.
