Great product, very solid. The only thing I would like them to include is maybe a small pouch for traveling. The shape of the device is a little irregular, so it's a little difficult to travel with.

I use this to hook up my studio lights to my Nikon D100 camera. I first checked the trigger voltage on my studio lights to make sure that it was safe. Then I just put this device on my hot shoe and ran a pc cord from my lights to the camera. I can shoot one light and the other lights all have a photo slave on them so they go off too.

Buy this instead of the off-brand adorama stuff. I tried that route, it didnt work so well. This is a little more money, but worth it.

This little gem makes my studio flash much easier to use. My Canon camera doesn't provide a PC port for off-camera flash, but with the Nikon AS-15, I don't need it. Works flawlessly....inexpensive...my only concern is that the plug is merely slip-fit, and I'm concerned that it will work it's way loose as I continue to use. So far, so good, though.

I tried to get the adapter to work with my D80 and a traditional studio strobe set up. At first I thought the sync cord might be bad, so I swapped it out for a new one....nothing doing. I think the electronics in the hot shoe have gone beyond their usefulness trying to zoom and meter with a lens that only works with a Nikon SpeedLight. Maybe my electronics are fried, but I had to return the item.

I shoot with a Canon however, this adapter works just great without the pricey tag of the Canon's.
No problems whatsoever with this product. Each time, every time it has done what it needed to do.

I needed an adapter to connect a strobe PC cord to my nikon D80. I first tried Adorama's PC hot shoe adapter and, not to knock the quality of Adorama's products which are usually fine, but it simply never worked. Some other reviewers seemed to have better results but that seems to suggest their is a bit of luck involved in how well constructed your particular adapter is. By contrast, the Nikon PC hot shoe adapter worked flawlessly. It is sturdily constructed, easy to attach and detach, and the PC port is a good fit. In the past six months I haven't had a single misfire. So in conclusion, shell out the extra few bucks for the Nikon brand name, you won't regret it.

I just did a photo shoot using this product and it worked flawsly. I wasn't sure what to expedt but it did a good job for me. The flashes were ready faster with this than with another product that cost three times the price. I would recomend this to anyone using a nikon with moonlights.

My home camera is an entry level Pentax dslr without a PC connection. I read the Nikon could be used on any camera with a hot shoe. I have fired hundreds of flash shots with a Vivitar 285HV using this PC sync terminal adapter.

I use a Metz flash to knock out the heavy shadows at events in daylight and backlit situations and my Nikon D80 has no pc sync terminal.
My first use of this Nikon AS15 adapter was shooting an Indian Pow-Wow with extreme back-lighting from the Sun.
The results were perfect. I am thrilled and thankful that Adorama is there to serve the needs of photographers such as myself.

This worked as advertised. I would like to see some option for adding additional lighting options with this device. There is only one connection port and you cannot use multiple flashes.

This little dealy-bopper is simple, reliable and effective. There are no frills and no fuss. If you are exploring the world of off-camera flash, but would rather spend [$] on this rather than buying a new DSLR with a PC connection, you are set. It does what it's supposed to and always works.

All I had to adjust was the male pc connetor on the cable towards the flash unit. Just needed to be squeezed to make the outer shell smaller so it fits tight on the nikon adapter. The adapter sets securely on the hot shoe by tightening the inluded nut. Don't make it too tight or it's hard to untighten.

It is a great thing to have for off camera flash. Especially if you are a minimalist like I am, and don't want to invest in the pocket wizards just yet. Just remember it is made of plastic, so treat is as such.

I contacted Nikon USA who indicated that this product would work with a Nikon 8800 to convert hot shoe to PC, Product does not work with this camera, [...] Nikon gave bad advise on their tech line.

Did eactly what I needed it to do. If you're willing to use off brand products, you could find one to do the job for slightly less money.
