Travels easy and works great.

This unit is very small and lightweight, using only 2 AAA batteries. This, combined with the built-in optical slave makes it great for off-camera flash techniques. The flash can be easily taped or rubber-banded anyplace you need more light (which you can't always do with a bulky full-sized flash).
The pre-flash cancellation mode for the slave works great with my Canon point-n-shoot, but not so well with my Canon XSi. However it is still a favorite gadget in my camera bag. Very handy!

This is a very good little flash that I use while travelling. Used with Mamiya 6MF and Bessa III cameras. At few occasions, it refused to work. I removed the batteries wait a little and then it works again…. But otherwise, it works fine.

A great flash for travel. I use it on my LX3 in the hotshoe. It has 3 auto modes and as far as I can tell, is the only compact flash unit to offer fractional flash power in manual mode. It is a bit odd that there is no 1/2 power setting. It goes from FULL to 1/4 to 1/8 and so on. Recycle time can be about 8 seconds at full power.
There are 3 modes for the flash: hotshoe, optical slave, and optical slave with pre-flash cancellation. The pre-flash cancelling mode works great with my Pentax and Panasonic cameras. Hotshoe works also. The big downside is that the selector switch for these 3 modes is so small you need a pen tip to switch between them.
It is no replacement for a bigger flash, as it has no bounce, and GN of 20m. But it's great as a travel flash or a flash slave. It's small and can be dialed down, so could probably be used as a background or hair light in a pinch.
