This flash is a great value for the money. It is fairly consistent, and worked great on a 20D. I recently upgraded to a 7D, and can not get the flash for sink properly. The instructions are very sparse, lacking detail, and I have not been able to find out anything on the internet regarding compatibility with the 7D.

I recommend this for earlier Canon cameras than the 7D (20D through 50D.)

Highly recommended in Popular Photography as a Best Buy. Used it at a wedding. Sometimes inconsistent light output, but overall was well pleased with results. Recycles quickly.
