Comments about Photoflex Photoflex Umbrella Convertible 60":

This works out very well to spread light across a large group. I used it for family portraits at an 80th Birthday party. I was hired to do the large family portrait but ended up doing several smaller groups as well. It did well with my stobe lights for both the large and the smaller groups. ai really like the way it can also be converted to a shoot through umbrella for those shots you want some softer lighting!

I really like the idea of the fiberglass rods they seem like they will hold up alot longer than the metal ones. The build quality of this umbrella is superb. I look forward to putting it through the paces.

Comments about Photoflex Photoflex Umbrella Convertible 60":

The end pieces that attach the black reflective cover to make a bounced flash are much more secure than i could have imagined. The umbrella feels pretty solid considering that it is fabric. A carrying case is a must for this guy to survive more than a couple weeks in the field.

Comments about Photoflex Photoflex Umbrella Convertible 60":

I use mostly photoflex lighting products in our studio, and these unbrellas fall right in line with the quality you expect from the company. We use these for group photos, as a standard, reflective umbrella. The size is sufficient for smaller groups. Taking off the black outer cover is very simple. It then allows you to use the umbrella in a softbox-like way. Please note that the umbrella is not highly reflective. We have powerful strobes, so this is not an issue, but if you need a more reflective source, be sure to purchase an umbrella with a silver lining. We wanted a larger umbrella that could double as a shoot through light source.

Excellent product at a great price, the fiberglass ribs are super tough and unique. I only use it as a shoot through. Move it in close and see the magic happen. Don't forget sand bags though the wind loves these guys. At this price get 2.

Comments about Photoflex Photoflex Umbrella Convertible 60":

If you are a beginner (or a pro for that matter) by all means skip the smaller umbrellas (unless you work in small spaces or do headshots with them). This is the tool to get. Keep it within 5 feet of your subject and use your flash barebulb and you can get light quality as soft as a softbox. Yes I said that! This tool makes it easy... and cost effective! At this size 5ft away this will cover a full body pretty well.[...]

If you need a basic umbrella to do different types of work, this one does the trick. The large size enables you to cover very large groups of people.
