One note of caution. Before you buy, be absolutely positive the bottom part fits into your tripod head. Sizes vary
The adapter does exactly what it is supposed to do.

The QB-5W plate and the DF-60 tripod are an excellent buy. This is an additional quick-release platform I bought for my second camera body.

I needed something sturdy, relatively light, nice looking, but not costly. This tripod exceeded my expectations.

My only wish is that the sure-grip tilt and pan control handle was slightly better positioned for easier viewfinder access.
