Even though this tripod is small, it has all the pro features that any tripod has. I use it with a Nikon D300 with a double grip and it works fine. It's very stable on solid ground.
It folds up small enough to easily fit into a suitcase or backpack. This is not my main tripod but it works great for travel.
It even comes with a simple ballhead that works fine. You can remove it and put your favorite ballhead on if you want.
