I use it to give proper support for long extention for macro photography. I screw in 2 nikon PN-11's at either end and can put a PK-13 and a PK-11A between them. Otherwise there's too much stress on the lens mounts. Works great and love the screws with the bails. That's why I purchased this bracket over similar ones.
