Comments about Ikelite Ikelite Underwater Camera Housing for Nikon D-200 Digital Camera:
I finally made the jump into digital underwater. Prior to this I was using a Nexus housing for a N90 and Nikonos RS equipment. Even though I had a collection of ports for the Nexus system I went with the Ikelite Housing. My reasons were the ability to do TTL with the Nikon system which Nexus does not offer. And while the housing does that, I am also very happy the provision of a very well thought out set of controls, a easy to use viewfinder and a housing that is well balanced and a joy to use underwater. I was also impressed by their new 8" port system which allows the using of one dome port with different lens by providing inexpensive "port bodies" or spacers for different lenses. A real nice housing that is also very attractively priced.

Comments about Ikelite Ikelite Underwater Camera Housing for Nikon D-200 Digital Camera:
This housing is an expensive housing for an expensive camera. I would not recommend it if you are just wanting to keep your camera dry. It is too big and bulky for that, however if you are serious about underwater photography and you have a Nikon D200 camera then you need this housing. It is clear so you can see if it is sealed or not and the walls of the housing are 1 to 1.5 inches thick so it is extremely sturdy. Also you are able to control 99% of the functions of the camera with this housing so you can make changes to setting to suit your shot extremely easy.
