Note I'm using this on a still camera, Canon G7, with the Canon 58mm adapter tube thingie (after seeing samples on the "lensmate" manufacturer site, sorry guys didn't buy your adapter!). It has to be the right distance from the lens to work well. My results are MUCH better than the other poster had here, but still a bit soft at the edges with a lot more CA than the camera itself or Canon's wide adapter (tho still useful for low res work). Also if you zoom too far the lens (plastic rim) crashes into the back element. Still, a great thing to have, for both still and movies (which show a dancing vignette as the IS does its thing if left zoomed to full wide). I think the 35mm-equivalent focal length goes to 24mm on the G7, which is very useful. Also does amazing things for the camera's macro (like producing very soft bokeh). Overall, extremely pleased given it is wider, cheaper and lighter than the Canon version. But not perfect given the inevitable corner softness.
