This is definitely a POV (point of view) camera, and as long as that is not forgotten, the GO PRO will fit the bill.
You cannot get the same quality as you would from a Sony HDR / SR / CX line of camcorder, but you can't fit a Sony in such a small space, or take it down 180 ft. without an expensive $800 plus housing. But you can take the GO PRO.

Keep the instructions close at hand for the first while to help navigate the cryptic menu for settings.
Otherwise, a great little take anywhere HD camera that is waterproof and capable of recording high-speed (60fps) action.
