Literally the best trackpad available. One less star than perfect only because this was replacement purchase.

Apple Trackpad for Mac Mini

Comparable to my 2019 Macbook Pro trackpad. Nice discount over the new Magic Trackpad as well.

Solid trackpad, cheaper than newest model.

I replaced an older style Trackpad with this one.  The battery life on the older was a pain.  So far his battery has lasted much longer between charges.  So far a big improvement.

Improvement over older style

I didn't really know what to expect from a tablet that doesn't mention a pen or stylus. This is a mouse replacement. Both can be active at the same time and you can use either depending on the application convenience. But I've not got much space just yet and I've not touched the mouse since I started using this. I'm still getting used to the tap and two finger control features but that's because I'm (or at least was) a PC guy.

Little tablet for small space

The trackpad works great and just as expected.  My only issues is its connection with the new Mac mini is sometimes wonky because of the Mini's bluetooth issues.

Great Trackpad

Having tried to make a mouse work for too long, I finally realized that the only way to increase my productivity to what it is when I am on the road with just my Macbook Pro and its trackpad would be to use a trackpad when I am at home with my system configured in its more "permanent" closed position on my desk.

Upon its arrival, I immediately appreciated the speed with which I was able to navigate around my 4K display. The Magic Trackpad 2 was a breeze to set up and charge. I could not be happier with it!

Terrific new design by Apple!  That beautiful space gray color, combined with a narrowed profile, more sensitive response and non slip base, this is truly a winning combination.  Occasional recharge via Thunderbolt 3 or USB-C to any power source (USB, Thunderbolt, etc.), no battery change required - holds its charge for a considerable time/use.  Highly recommended over a Magic Mouse, owing to the ability to use multi-fingered patterns translated into instant action.  
Adorama had this to my door within just a couple of days, and always well packed.

Great Freshly Designed Apple Magic trackpad 2

Clean, simple and works great.  Even better is that is no longer needs batteries.  Plug into a phone charger every couple of weeks and that’s it.

Great Device

After having the first generation of magic pads this one definitely excels beyond the first generation. Much more quiet to the touch and more responsive. Paris perfectly with the iMac Pro.

No glitches, no drawbacks, works flawlessly. Better than any touchpad on a MBP until recent versions.

Excellent for work station.

This is a fantastic alternative to the mouse. Makes working in Photoshop very easy with this, my iMac and my Wacom tablet. Cuts my editing time way down. As per Apples usual very sleek design and smooth feel. I also like that this can be charged during use.

Its great to have a big trackpad. No complaints. One things you learn quickly is to lift your hand all thew off it so you don’t accidental make changes or moves to files.

The bluetooth connection was more reliable and the haptic feedback was better as well with the original magic trackpad

Works Well but Prefer the Original Magic Trackpad

I previously only worked from a MacBook Pro and so the trackpad is my go-to tool (I guess you could say it's a crutch but I prefer it anyways).  Bought an iMac Pro as an investment for my future and while the magic mouse is great, I still much prefer the accessibility of the trackpad and all the swipe gestures that it allows.  Adorama is a great store and has been my go-to retailer for photography-related equipment, of which the trackpad has been integral in my editing.

Apple Magic Trackpad 2 is a Must-Have!

Awesome!! I love this thing, it is definitely the way to go if you have a Mac!! There is a bit of a learning curve but don't worry you can pick up on it fast!

I have one word for you

This trackpad is a big improvement or prior versions.  A little bigger with more functionality with force touch ability.

Magic Trackpad 2

This newer version of the Magicpad has Force Touch and is rechargable via the Lightning cable. If the app(s) that you are using supports it, you can incorporate it into how your brain communicates with your computer just like the iPhone 7 and newer iPhones. For example; Hard tapping on a link will bring up a peek into the contents of the linked page. You can also now tap anywhere on the trackpad's surface and register a click, wherein the older model was really only good at clicking towards the bottom. It is bigger than the old one but not so much and lies flat.

I've used the original Magic Trackpad before and ordered this updated model to replace it. I think the Magic Trackpad 2 is an excellent update to an already great product. It looks super clean and blends in really well with my other Apple accessories. I find it to be really useful when panning in and out of my artwork. I always switch to this when I need to precisely focus in on a detail and doing so feels natural.

Instead of batteries, you charge it by plugging it in with a Lighting to USB Cable (which comes in the packaging). When it's not charging it's completely wireless. I tested it's wireless range and was not disappointed. You can use the Magic Trackpad 2 from over 50 feet away from your iMac.. that's incredible. It might even operate further than that. I just didn't have enough room in my office space to keep going.

The new flat bottom design looks and feels a lot better. It has Force Touch built into it which is another plus. I really can't find any cons to the Magic Trackpad 2. Overall, this is great addition to my design tools and I highly recommend this product to design professionals looking to add speed and precision to their process.

Awesome trackpad

Love it!!! 

I have used the previous version without integrated battery for years, and have recently upgraded to this version.  I don't find the new one to be better in any respect other than the integrated battery.  The new trackpad takes a long time to connect, each and every time the computer is restarted.  Force touch is not of any use to me and it get's in the way when accidentally activated.  If you have a Mac the trackpad is better than a mouse in my opinion hence the 3 stars.  Loses 2 stars for slow connection, force touch annoyances and cost.

Just OK but better than a mouse

I didn't think I'd like this, but after using one at work for a year, I finally bought one for home. Easy to pair and works great. Great for photo editing too.
