This is the third tutorial in a three-part series of film making tutorials hosted by Tom Antos. The tutorials are based on the production of the “Never Broken” music video by Anna Cyzon.
This tutorial covers the post-production of the music video. One can see how Tom organizes the project and plans out the edit, in order to enable a smooth execution of the artistic concept of the video. The methodology that Tom uses can be applied to the editing of most music videos.
Tom also shows – step-by-step – the visual effects involved in the video. In addition, he illustrates how he replaced and improved an ordinary visual effects shot – a digital photo collage – with a scene done entirely in-camera.
Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects CC 2015 were used for the post-production of this video. However, the techniques used can be easily carried over to other popular editing and visual effects software packages.
