For theater, broadcast, or film and pro-audio productions, a professional microphone is paramount to delivering the highest-quality content or performance. That’s why today’s announcement from Shure is sure to bring an elevated sound with powerful durability to entertainers and creators.

The new Shure Twinplex series includes subminiature omnidirectional lavalier microphones for added versatility in sound and recording.
Included in the release are the TL45, TL46, TL47, and TL48 lavaliers, all of which feature the brand’s dual-diaphragm omnidirectional element design, which delivers clear and accurate response, both naturally and in low-frequency.
Here’s everything you need to know:

TwinPlex TL45 Subminiature Lavalier Microphone ()
The TL45, designed for theater settings, features natural sound along with low sensitivity and high max sound pressure level (SPL) to produce cleaner sound throughout a production. The added interchangeable caps are sweat-resistant, which means they can handle all levels of performance.

TwinPlex TL46 Subminiature Lavalier Microphone ()
If you’re in search of a theater, film, broadcast, and live television microphone that includes an additional output (8-10dB), then the TL46 is the mic for you. With high-sensitivity output, an impressive signal-to-noise ratio of 70dB, and the same interchangeable caps, the TL46 is optimized for dialogue and medium-SPL applications, Shure notes.

TwinPlex TL47 Subminiature Lavalier Microphone ()
For flexibility and versatility, the TL47 is an ideal companion for any lavalier-ready production. With low-sensitivity, low self-noise, and dynamic range, the TL47 is made for acoustic settings and includes MicroDot and XLR/Preamp connectors, in addition to LEMO, MTQG/TA4F (which are featured on the TL45 and TL46).

TwinPlex TL48 Subminiature Lavalier Microphone ()
Made with film and TV production in mind, the TL48 is made to handle speech and dialogue scenes thanks to a fixed frequency cap (which itself resists sweat and moisture) and 6dB mid-band boost at about 7kHz. It’s easily mounted, thanks to the available accessories, and can be quickly concealed in a costume, and by the hair or skin.
