I bought this OtterBox hoping it would prevent my back glass breaking. It did not, I dropped it hip level to the ground. After having my phone fixed. It broke again!!!So now I have to pay for another repair, and find a better case company. I AM SO DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!

WORSE PURCHASE!

While a little big for my preference, this case does exactly what it is supposed to do. I fly military aircraft and sometimes our phones drop down the crew entry hatch, about 15 feet straight down to concrete. I remembered exactly why I paid so much for this case when my phone was completely undamaged.

holds up!

Wow! Someone check... I think the otter is dead. They used to be good. What happened to not having a built in screen protector?! Even worse... no belt clip?! A shame.

Otterfailure

I had one of these for my iPhoneX and loved it. When I upgraded to the iPhone 13 Pro, buying the Otterbox Defender was a no-brainer. The clasp mechanism does not securely hold the phone. It has released and my phone has fallen out numerous times, fortunately it was always recoverable. The Otterbox customer service website is less than satisfactory. I will try calling them during business hours. I will revise this review according to their response. As it stands presently, my advice is DO NOT buy this product. It does not work as intended.

Constantly Falling Out of the Holster

The back is smooth so it's not good for gripping. Ever since I installed this on my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I've dropped my iPhone six times. The smooth case causes it to slip out of my fingers. Badly designed.

Bad design

Fits nice and not bulky like the old one. Only complaint is the dust cover is a bit loose.

Works well

It?s simple nothing fancy, a pain putting together, honestly not worth the money. I been a long time fan of otter box, but this case is not impressive by any means. Shipping was the worst. Bought on March third and delivered March 19 th. I could have paid the same price at a box store and got it then.

There is better out there.

Great case! Only complaint is that the charger cover does not seem to be waterproof/water right as it was on older cases.

Hubby's new case

I have been purchasing OtterBox Defender cases for every iPhone that I have had since they were put on the market. I was very disappointed at the price for the new case, and upset that I had to pay extra for a belt clip case. All of my previous case have come as a pair, and have been significantly cheaper. I am happy with the thin profile of the case. So in the end, to pay almost a $150 for case, belt clip, and screen protector, OtterBox has priced themselves out of a customer. I am so bummed because they make a good product, not worth such a steep price though.

Sad OtterBox Review

I am greatly pleased by the OtterBox defender. It allows for wireless charging with ease. The colors are very nice and installation was rather simple. Having owned OtterBox defender?s for several of my iPhones over the last few years I was a little bummed to not get a holster with my defender? But they did include an offer to get a holster in the packaging. Overall, does it protect my phone and look good? 100% yes.

Yup, it?s an Otterbox

I do not recommend this otter box. I have had an iPhone since the the iPhone 4. All in otterboxes. I have NEVER broken a phone. I purchased the Iphone13 pro, and this otterbox. Have had is less than 2 months, my son dropped my phone in the otterbox and the whole back of my phone is shattered.

Case is awesome and very protective. Only issue is accessing the silent switch(iPhone 13 Pro Doesn?t seem to center in the opening and difficult to switch down

Protective Case, switch access difficult

I am not sure if this will hold up to very many drops on a concrete floor. What happened to the rubber cover that used to come with the defender series? This is slicker than cat crap on a Linoleum floor. I am sure this will be flying out of my hands quite a bit.

Not like what I have had before

I have always used otter box cases on all my iPhones from the iPhone 4 up to the 13 pro I just bought. I won?t have an iPhone without an otter box, but I am not impressed with the defender xt with MagSafe. Not only is it super slick and not easy to hold onto. But I have only had it for 3 days and the edges are super dirty like I?ve had it for years. A work colleague of mine even made the comment today are you sure that?s brand new. Today is Friday, I got my otter box and phone on Tuesday.

Not impressed

I have used Otterbox cases for years and have been very satisfied.  The iPhone 13 Pro Defender Series XT Case with MagSafe is very difficult to install.  The worse thing is it easily pops out of the Otterbox holster clip that is sold with it.  I should of listened to other reviews that said the same thing about the holster not holding properly..

Disappointed - Holster does not hold phone secure

I wanted MagSafe and protection so I had to get this.  As other reviews point out, it's very slippery.  Lay it down on sink counter and it just flies away.  Same thing in car, I put it down on the dash and it's gone.  Maybe they ruled it out for some reason, but it seems to me that it would have been very easy to add a less-slippery edging of some kind that doesn't interfere with the middle MagSafe area.  It would have been the best of both worlds. I added a thin layer of electrical tape to the edges to help with slipping.  Pay $70 for a high end phone case with endless hours of design and production and immediately have to modify it.  My engineering degree was finally used...

Protective but unnecessarily slippery

When I got my iPhone 13 pro I purchased an otterbox symmetry case because that was all that was available at the Verizon store. I didn?t like it because I am used to a defender with the rubber on the outside so it isn?t so slippery. So I ordered the defender xt. I did see that it said slim version but still expected the rubberized outside. Just received it today in the mail and I am really disappointed. All it is is a symmetry case with rubber sides. No rubber on the back at all and the cut out for the silent button is almost impossible to reach. This case should not be called a defender case! Gross misrepresentation!

Not what I thought I was getting?.

I bought this case for full price because I wanted the protection. Love the case and the magnet, hate the back. Any time I hook something on the back it scratches it. My $80 case looks terrible now. Very disappointing

Smooth back not a great idea

Nice slim case but also slick, as in I?m sure this will fly out of my hand one day slick. MagSafe works great and no issue there. Too dam expensive tho

It?s alright..

Bought this for my wife and another for myself in black. iPhone 13 pro model. Love the design. Seems sturdy and strong, and fall resistant?but the small groove of plastic meant to protect the camera lenses is almost flush with the glass. This leads me to think that dropping the phone just right could break the camera lenses or glass around them. I hope that in future models they pot for a more diesel design and have the cameras set deeper in, better protected.

Almost as good as older versions

Got this because I ordered a new phone, I have not received the phone yet. I'm sure this case will work as well as the other cases from Otterbox I have had.

The iPhone 13 pro is so heavy and the XT case is so thin and slippery. I kept worrying about dropping it. I can live without the MagSafe case. I alike the grippy feel of the original Defender.

I like the original  Defender better

I used to be somebody that would change out there phone case to match there clothing or for the fun of it and after I purchased my first otter box I immediately stoped changing my case! You can feel how well crafted the cases are and there strength from the start. This case isn't my 1st one I been using them with each years new iPhone since iPhone 4s and let me tell you I haven't had a crack iPhone yet!

It is a solid product so far. It should have come with a holster for the higher cost.
