This is my first Apple computer.  It took a little getting used to but not a lot.  And after that, it is much more user friendly, and much faster, than the competition.

The Apple MacBook Pro 13" is an excellent laptop.

Genuinely one of the best purchases I have made. As a student, I did not need much of a powerful computer and even this felt like overkill. Yet, the integration it offers with the apple ecosystem (my iPhone, AppleWatch, and even iPad) allows this computer to feel like a perfect fit. I opted for the pro instead of the cheaper air because I have heard of the heating issues that laptop might have. This macbook pro however, does not encounter any heating issues, only occasionally warming up when charging or running too many apps at once. At this point, I would opt for the M1 macbook pro as it seems to be faster and at regular price as this one at launch. If you can find it cheaper though, this i5 model still definitely gets the job done. If your are looking for a laptop that is great for browsing the web, typing, and even some light gaming (though you might have to jump through some hoops to game) I would definitely recommend this laptop.

Great Purchase; Even Better Device

Adriana took care of a mistake made in shipping us a computer. We ordered a MacBook Pro, and were shipped a MacBook Air. My son was leaving for Thailand within the week so they were able to expedite the correct shipment. They handled the situation very professionally and made sure we were satisfied. Awesome little computer! I love the physical escape key and the new better keyboard! From my 20 1715 inch model, has now that we’re home down my iMac is my big screen. Perfect set up with a 27” iMac with this little 13” MacBook Pro.

My previous MacBook Pro lasted 11 yrs.  It was time for a new one which I have found to be significantly fast with many features that I really like, like the fingerprint log-on option and locking files that I don’t want accessed.  It’s just a great computer, intuitive and convenient.

This laptop replaces my 11 year old MacBook Pro which, by the way, still works!  But, it was time for a newer computer. I was hoping that Apple would have introduced a new 14" version like the 15'" upgrade to the 16".  But, it didn't. Even so, this is a major update fo ME. And it does have the new keyboard!!!  It's faster, lighter, smaller, and the screen is incredibly beautiful. I really like the touch bar that my older laptop didn't have. But I am still getting used to it and learning the various things i can do with it.

It's USB-C so my USB-3 external hard drives and other peripherals require adaptors. They work fine. It's not a big deal.

Super happy with purchase. It’s quiet and powerful doesn’t have the overheating and fan issues of the MacBook Air. I look at these as 5 year investments. I wanted a machine that was future proof with a nice amount of RAM and the newest gen processors. This machine checked all the boxes. I purchased it for my wife and she’s thrilled.
