I wanted to improve my audio quality quickly and for a good price because I'm a beginner. This was the answer.

I use it everyday!

So sensitive had to decrease gain to 0.1 to stop overmodulation. Wonderful directional mike which filters out superfluous nearby sounds. I use it to record birdsongs for citizen science.

Does NOT clip on to an iPhone with a carrying case which is the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars but as far as I’m concerned it’s a minor inconvenience.

My “Gerbil” mic

I bought this microphone to get better audio than standard iPhone mic. It works very well. It increased the audio quality by a great deal making iPhone recording usable.

Up your iPhone audio game.

The only concern that I have is the dead cat requires a little bit of massaging for it to stay on and at certain times there's crackling that takes place during recording (I was inside a house at the  time). Otherwise the sound itself barring the 2 things previously mentioned is great.
