NO INTRUCTIONS

Not happy. . . Bought this almost solely because of being able to use it thru the app but the app is for older Android phones. There is no app for the current versions of Android. . disappointed to say the least. .

Excellent piece of equipment. Great picture quality, zoom and the thermal imaging is perfect.

Excellent addition to my hunting gear!

I bought two if these for our anniversary, they are well built and function well with a tripod ( I also bought 2 of the "titanium" tripods). They only issue I have withe the bino's that there's no android app. There is an iphone app however. It would be nice to have the android app for a better viewing experience wether at night our daytime.

Excellent.

It's not as good as a $5000 NV scope, but for the price it's excellent. I would absolutely recommend this to others and would buy it again. That doesn't mean it can't be improved however. The battery low indicator is all over the board: saying low battery even when fresh, giving inconsistent readings from one minute to the next, etc. And it is a battery hog. Buy rechargeables and have a fresh set ready. I'd also give the top buttons a different tactile feel to help distinguish them in the dark. As for the app, make sure you connect to the WiFi in Settings BEFORE you start the app. But the bottom line is: this is a great reasonably priced NV scope, and I'm very glad to have it.

Great value for the money

After trying several others of this type and for a little less with very disappointing results I decided to once again trust the quality and design of a Bushnell and as always, their product work flawlessly. They only need to update their android WiFi app to operate on versions higher then 7. Hopefully that will be soon.

Great unit

This are very well built and is a really nice tool to use Predator hunting. Use these to locate your game then transition to your night vision rifle. Works great! I would recommend them to anyone who wants night vision at an affordable cost.

This are very well built

Wasn't looking to spend thousands on a night vision monocular. Wanted to be able to spot coyotes near my property. Really surprised at the quality of the night vision for the price. The battery can go really fast if you turn up the built-in illuminator to high. I put this on a tri-pod and it works just fine. Happy with the purchase..

I ordered the Equinox Z2 6x50 primary because I found that having to scan and spot for hours with a firearm mounted night vision scope leaves you with a sore next and back. So, with the mono, I can do the scanning and the transition to the rifle when needed. For the price, I think this unit is going to be a hard unit to beat in terms of features, clarity, and capability. Although not truly field tested yet, I can spot game at 300 with it. The user interface is intuitive enough where after you play with it a couple times, it becomes instinctive. The one recommendation I would have for Bushnell is to equip this unit with a means to mount to a picatinny rail so that it could be firearm mounted.

Equinox Z2 6x50 review

The clarity is awesome, and features are great. The only complaints are battery life, I'm having to change the batteries every 30 to 45 min's, and can not get the unit to pair with the App on my iphone.

Great Product,

Works great for scouting deer at night and night hunting coyotes, as well as nighttime surveillance of my property. I have counted the points on a buck's horns at over 200 yards. The more starlight or moonlight the better. I like being able to mount this on a tripod and view the images on my phone. The negative with this optic is the battery life. I would recommend standard lithium or rechargeable lithium batteries as alkaline batteries die quickly with the infrared illuminator on. This optic will not take still pictures or record video if the batteries are low, an error message will appear in the viewfinder. Would be nice if Bushnell had a rechargeable battery option for this optic. Otherwise a good option for night vision at an affordable price range.

I ordered this item few months ago and it was flawed, battery drained in a few minutes and device turned itself off. When i check the status of batteries on the charger it actually shows that they are full. I returned the first item and received new one with the same flaw... Device is marketed as 5 star product which, but i highly doubt that the reviews are authentic because nobody that actually bought that device wouldnt give it 5 stars. Documentation for the product is nonexistent, it is made from cheap plastic, cover of battery compartment is so poorly made that you can hardly hit thread to screw it in, interior monitor is misserable but i guess for the low price you cant expect better and the connectivity with phone is wery bad... If you are planing to buy night vision that you can rely on i would never recommend this item...

Quality control is misserable || production flaws

I already had the 3x cousin to this and loved it so much I bought this bigger brother. My older one was capable of identifying small animals at around 125 yards. I have expectations this one will do even better. And! I love the ability to photograph and capture video with it.

Night vision monocular

Not able to see image, went thru 8 batteries in 2 hours attempting to get an image, Attempted in all different lighting conditions. I cannot down load software to tablet for better viewing if I do get an image. Poor instruction on producing best image if you can ever get an image. Would not buy. Lucky it was a gift that I am very disappointed in . Spent way more time attempting to use that any other electronic I owned, still without success.

Excellent night vision in green or black and white. Manual focus is a bit of a draw back but it wasn't $2000.00. Very satisfied with this purchase. Could use a bit more detailed instructions or at least a user guide in the box.

Good as expect!

I am using the Z2 momentarily at my safari in South Africa. It is a must to have such equipment to spot wildlife. The Z2 doesn't disappoints me at all!

Well worth it

I recently purchased the EQUINOX Z2 NIGHT VISION MONOCULAR - 4.5X 40MM and after playing with it for a while I noticed a mayor design flaw. I downloaded and installed the app for Android so I could use the Wi-Fi option; it was great to control the unit from my phone, except that when I used the zoom, the image went blurred. Why? There is no auto-focus!!! so if I wanted to control the unit from a distance, the zoom is useless because the focus is manual. I also noticed that the status of the battery life is not consistent with false battery low warnings while using brand new alkaline AA batteries.

Great product with a single yet critical design flaw

Seems to work as stated. Takes a little while figuring how to use it since instruction manual is on line not included . Limited use so far but hard on eyes looking through it . Would be good to connect to screen and use a tripod to steady the unit

Night vision

The Z2 is a good night vision for the money. Definitely use good batteries. The pictures are clear. The menu is a little hard to navigate. I would definitely recommend this over the Z.
