These are fantastic drives.  I purchased four of these for use in my Synology NAS drive.  The drives are quick, quite, and very easy to install and use.

Seagate IronWolf Pro 16TB NAS Internal Hard Drive is the Cat's Meow! I plan to Buy 5 more for my computer!!!

The real test is longevity and reliability.  But out of the box, the drives worked.  They are a lot noisier than the 2TB and 4TB Iron Wolf Pro drives; otherwise, I would rate them five stars.  I also assume they will last as long and be as reliable as past Iron Wolf drives.  I have used both the Pro and non-pro drives for up to five years.  None have failed yet. I only retired the smaller ones as my storage needs increased.  I will recycle them into new computers as time permits and needs require.

Time will tell, but so far so good.

Ironwolf Pro is a good choice to use with a Synology NAS (check Synology compatibility list to confirm your model).  I prefer the Pro drives due to the 10^15 URE rate which provides a little extra insurance against RAID rebuild failure.  

Adorama packaged the drives well.

IW Pro is my preferred NAS drive.

Love Seagate drives and at a great price Adorama was the choice.

Excellent drives to put in a RAID system. I have four of those used in RAID 5 mode.

The value in these drives is in their long-term reliability, which is hard to review up front. However from my own limited experience these drives are noisier than expected and too expensive for their capacity. Home/prosumer users can get by with cheaper drives and enterprise users best step up, so I have second thoughts about the niche these drives fall into, personally.

This is a drive that is actually designed for NAS than one that claims to be NAS rated but are not (like the WD Red). Most drives are the same and just upgrade the hardware, but it is great that Seagate added diagnostic features to test the health of the drive that expand on top of the industry standard SMART tests.

I’ve have not taken the time to build my P.C yet so I can’t say if it works for me, however I have bought many products from Seagate without any issues.

SEAGATE IS GOOD

Drive worked perfectly right out of the box and will allow me some room to grow over the next couple years.
