easy to set up, easy to carry. I am happy i got it.

good in all aspects

I point one 500C through a shoot through umbrella, the other off the ceiling (for fill) and cards all around for extra fill and the light is plenty and pretty for video portraits.

A great light

Its good because bi color and V-mount battery 
But I dont recommend especially for proffitional or when using diffrent type of light on set because the colors are not true it gose for green not yelow

The color are not true

If this unit were as reliable as it is handy, it'd be the best deal in LED lighting on the market. Unfortunately, its feature advantages are overshadowed by spotty reliability. 

On the plus side, this model has a number of useful features including variable color output controlled by two dials that operate the intensity of warm and cool arrays of LEDs. The dials are smooth to operate. The unit runs off of AC or a V-mount battery in the included mount. The overall intensity provided by the 500 individual lamps is sufficient to serve as a main light for single subjects. Barn doors help control direction and spill. I like that you can clip on diffuser gels. It's relatively small size for its output makes it easy to pack, store and transport.

On the down side, I had to remove the bottom barn door to get the unit to point down. The worst deficiency, unfortunately, is the  unit fails to work sometimes. Also during a shoot, the unit started strobing. Not flickering but turning off and on like a strobe light. This is enough for me to keep the unit away from paying projects. Most recently, I've not been able to get the unit working with either a battery or mains (AC) power. 

If this unit was reliable, I be praising it as one of the most valuable bits of lighting you can get as a traveling corporate shooter. But as is, I can't recommend it.

Not reliable enough for money shoots

I purchased 2 of these lights for a video project i was hired to shoot. Used mainly for getting testimonials/interviews of a local religious school in my city. These lights work very well, really bright, and light weight.

Only thing I didn't like, is that there was not an option to include battery pack, It came with AC power, but it would be nice to have included battery as well instead of buying it separate. Also no carrying case.

Overall, I am happy with the product.

Great Lights for A Budget

This is a great light for the price.  I have another VERY similar light with a different brand name, but the two of them make a great little interview setup.  With V-mount and XLR 4-pin DC in they are pretty versatile. I use a bit of diffusion gel clamped to the barn doors to soften them a bit.  The mount can be moved to all 4 sides allowing them to be set on a stand or hung both horizontal or vertical. The two dimmers allow you to vary the 32K and 56K lights.  Maximum of either color is 1/2 of the total number of lights.

Great light for the price

Easy to setup, runs cool (LEDs are like that).  Metal is a bit thin and flexes when plugging in the power.  Dimmer behavior is OK, but becomes dim again at the top.  Barn doors are nice.

good for the price

I was trying to buy it twice. First time warehouse shipped to me 500 instead of 500c for the price of 500c. Second time it was a right item but inside the box it was a big mess.

Constant light source enables me to quickly set up shots, portrait or static. Duel colored lights, variable power levels, adjustable barn-doors. Capability to use both A/C or Battery pack a bonus. Lights came 2 to a set with 2 light stands and stand bag, attachment brackets and power cords. Battery available seperately.

Great Light

This LED light was not only priced right, but it performs perfectly giving great light upon my subjects in video interviews.  I've used it as a fill, backlight, and direct light on individuals, all enhancing the image.  The adjustable controls are an added value to tweak just the proper amount of light on my subject.  If there was a drawback on this light, it would be that it doesn't come with a case.  I overcame that with a sturdy plastic toolbox purchased for under $20 and I lined it with foam. It easily carries the light, and accessories.

Outstanding LED Light at Great Price

I am using this light for making You Tube Videos. I am revording video of me creating either oil or watercolor paintings. Having the variable light adjusters on this light really helps to get the light balance perfect for accurately representing art work on my videos.

Very Good Product

I plan to use it as a key light for interviews and also as a fill light.  I like the adjustability of the light.  It also seems well made and to stand up to routine use.  A very good value.

Excellent Light/Good Value

Great  lighting instrument!

I am using this light primarily for taking pictures of family and friends.  Along with a couple Adorama cfl soft boxes, I am able to do some good work inexpensively and without the hassle and expense of strobes.  Having a lot of fun.

Nice for the money

I just opened the box and used it today.. This unit works as described. I mounted the battery on the back of the unit and did very nice out door shots. Great for video shooting and nice color temperture

I just got this today

Had purchased one within a few days stopped working. I had it replaced and the second unit had an electrical problem and all the LEDs would do was to keep flashing. Looks great but too poor quality to invest in.

Save your money

This Unit continues to be advertised as a battery powered unit. There is a battery powered model with fewer LED below this that uses the battery advertised. This is an AC unit only!!! The advertising on this needs to be cleaned up. I consider this a good value as an AC unit would have rated as 5 stars if in fact it was AC or battery.
