Good light

Wonderful lights, I attached them to an aluminum plate to create a 4 bank set up. I love it!!!

Great Lights

These bulbs are perfect for eye-lights, background lights, and run-and-gun situations. My only wish is that they made the power cord longer. You will find that they are typically less than six inches long, so if you are using quasars, you will want lots of stingers and dimmers. Their output level cannot be controlled without a dimmer.

Handy dandy

Perfect size for tight locations or soft fill light as well as accenting a scene without taking up much space at all. The colors are excellent and fully adjustable, even beyond what some companies put limits on. True adjustable lighting! One of the best tools I’ve purchased.

Crossfade Tubes

I recommend this light, with a separately purchased dimmer switch. Just as described, 6 feet is a great length for backlighting a wall from the floor, stays cool enough to lie on a carpet or be partially covered for effect. Nice bright lighting strength or can be lowered also for dimmer effect. I love the range from the yellower to whiter to bluer light options. Solid and strong structurally, I am not reluctant to move it around with care.

Great options with this versatile light, definitely use a dimmer

Sale price of the 6 foot tubes for less than 4 foot price made these irresistible! Even better for lighting my green screen and remote shooting at my local town hall stage which is underlit, needing footlights and lighting from the stage wings. I'm buying more. The tube diameter is considerably larger than the 4' T8 3000K lights. Heavier too. Only downside was packaging. Mailing tubes are the ideal packaging, and the other store uses them. Adorama sent each tube in a 10" square by 6.5' box with bubble wrap, rather than putting 3-4 in just one box.

Great, affordable light with many uses!

Worked well, no frills - meaning it comes with no mounting hardware. I wish it came with a 5/8” clip to mount on light stands. I ordered a clip separately and it was not 5/8”. Not sure what stand or mount it was meant for.

A Must-have in your gear arsenal!

These lights are very bright at any color temperature and can be easily installed in a variety of ways.  The tech support from both Adorama and Quasar is great.

Great color and diffusion. * I returned these only because they require more purchases (proprietary mounting and ballasting) that I wasn’t ready to invest in/overhaul my whole lighting arrangement. *

Great with a disclaimer

When turning it warmer, there's a horrendous tint, I wouldn't use it for lighting people. I emailed Quasar about it, and they. never responded. The white does look really good though, I think it's good for lighting people. It loses one star to that horrendous tint, the warmer setting is pretty much unusable for me because of it. 
It loses another star because one was dead on arrival, and it was a pain having to set up getting it returned and everything. I think I even had to pay for the shipping and everything even though it wasn't my fault, but I'd have to double check on that.

3 stars but still worth buying

Amazing lights. I got 12 of these bad boys for a few photography and film projects I have coming up. I really like the length of the light, at first, I was skeptical, but 4' is a sweet spot imho. Pair these up with the dimmers from Lutron and you got a really flexible light that's not only bi color but can dim to your liking.

Small light with a great PUNCH

Really like it so far. Haven't used it that much but can't wait to test it out on a shoot. A good bit brighter than the regular quasars.

Excellent Multipurpose Light

Absolutely love these lights! These are exactly what I was looking for. They were delivered in thick tubes and were protected from pretty much anything that could be thrown at it. However the box that the tubes were in looked like it went through a war zone to get to me. It was crushed and bent and taped up all over before getting to me. I am very happy with this purchase though and will highly recommend shopping at Adorama for their competitive prices.

Great product, sub par packaging

I was in desperate need of something with power, flexibility, and ease of use in my kit. I’ve been using a weird mixture of tungsten, fluorescents, and LEDs for years and this is EXACTLY what I needed. I can do high frame rate because it doesn’t flicker, it’s easy to use and set up so I can let helpers operate it on set without a ton of instruction, and it’s easy to match it with whatever other lights I have on set, be it my own kit or just the lights in the room. This thing saves me time with each setup, which means a happier crew and client.

Versatile, bright, easy to use, and exactly what I needed

A really simple to use light for lighting subjects or a room, and makes a great practical light as well. Color temp can be easily changed with a dial on one end of the light. Does not come with a built-in dimmer, unfortunately.

If you're looking for a quick and easy dimming solution, I recommend only the Lutron TTCL-100H dimmer, which can handle up to 100W LED. Or you can make one yourself using another Lutron C.L. dimmer switch that can handle up to 150W LED.

Note: I ONLY recommend the Lutron C.L. switch. There are other products, including some made by Lutron, that do not have the 'C.L.' designation on them that have given me some serious flickering issues.
